    Then prove me wrong.

SHOW ME this verifiable evidence from creationism that can stand up to scientific scrutiny.

Jerry Bergevin, the Republican sponsor of one of the New Hampshire bills, says of evolution that "It's a worldview and it's godless." He blames the teaching of evolution for Nazism and Columbine.

Well, hold on. Many Nazis were atheists, that's a fact. But the style in which they conducted their conquests was inspired either from Roman, 8th-10th century Germanic, or bronze age Biblical conquests. There is a lot of violence, of a most brutal kind in the Bible, and it too should be banned from schools or possibly a public view entirely. I guess the elites have figured: bailouts, tax-cuts and fat government contracts for them, and Jesus for everyone else. It's a win-win strategy. Seems the religious right came to embrace global warming on condition it be treated as a cult or religion, and in return they expect their medieval beliefs to find a similar mainstream pre-eminence.

Moreover, was Bush not a religious wing-nut? He went into Iraq believing in some divine cause. So the religious texts should be taught in schools at the expense to evolution on a condition they contain Bushims undertexts as a warning how religion can lead you astray.

If anything, more religion should be taught to corporate America, to the likes of Bobby Brown who cried when he was cut off from the will, or Apple who had an object fall on their head which gave them an idea to raise their profit index by cashing in on people's funerals.

Apple tries to gain profit from Whitney Houston's death
    13.02.2012 | Source: Pravda.Ru
Apple raised prices on digital albums of late soul diva Whitney Houston on the iTunes Store. Many subscribers of the service accused the corporation of the attempt to derive profit from the tragedy.

Whitney Houston's fans were extremely concerned with the fact that the price on the singer's "Ultimate Collection" compilation album (released in 2007) went $5 up on the iTunes Store. Many fans said that Apple should be ashamed for what it did.

In my school, back in the day. They got round this problem. By lumping all the religions into one religious education class. With the teacher, trying his best to stumble thru the millenias worth of knoweldge.

The problem arises, when the different religious believers want seperate study for each belief. And of course, the most problematic. National exams. Where this view goes beyond information to rigorous examinations. To the over testing of children who should be enjoying school.

Actually THE biggest problem is that the disciples of the Religion of Evolution INSIST that theirs is the ONLY right religion, and INSIST that all other religions be silenced, and only THEIR religion taught in the schools.

These religious zealots are pretty insane, actually.

Evolution is a seperate issue, no? With science classes and further science for the basic school curriculum up to the previously said over examinations.

You seem to be arguing that evolution is a religion. If that is the case, do you consider the theory of relativity, the big bang theory, the plate tectonics theory, and the theory of matter and energy to be religious in nature? Or do you simply believe that because there are a handful of doubters of evolution that those who outright support the theory are religious in their following?

There are religion classes at Catholic schools, and you can always take a World Religions course. Why confuse kids with some dumb dumb lectures about Intelligent Designs and such? And the religion-nuts want Intelligent Design to be taught in biology classes. So you will have two opposite theories both contradicting one another taught alongside. Then you will hear about epidemic cases of schitzophrenia rampaging through schools. Possibly more Columbines.

Those are all unproven theories that require faith to believe. You might as well admit that it takes just as much faith to believe in the Religion of Evolution as it does to believe in Allah. To argue otherwise is absurd.

Maybe the view here should be:

Teach it but don't push it as truth. As from evolution, religious etc.. is all knoweldge. Ingrained in humanity.

(Except for creationism, fringe religions should be taught at college/universty level if student wants to waste their time with it)

Back in my high school days we had religious education. There was a very loose attempt to split us up into denominations. It didn't really work as students drifted off into classes with their buddies, irrespective of religion. I always thought we were being pigeon holed.

We non-believers went surfing. We worshipped our own god,,Hughie god of the waves.

Teach them all as "Theories of Origins." Anything else is a hypocritical lie.

So, why believe in creationism? Unlike evolution and other scientific theories (or in your words, religions), can it be expressed empirically to the point that it becomes objective rather than subjective? Or is mathematics subjective, and therefore such a question is irrelevant?

Of course math can be subjective, since everything religion knows about God comes from indirect references, inferences and experiences of obscure peoples, scribbled down centuries after the fact, and underpinned solidly by formulations from the ancient Babylonian astrology, mysticism and mathematics based on the decimal system of 12ths rather than 10s i.e. 12 apostoles, 12 Egyptian plagues etc.

Yeah but you are talking about Aussies here - we do not have to be convinced of the existence of God since we live in his holiday home

Hmm so by that logic a belief that there was a past before I was born is entirely based in faith. I can't prove that it was there, so clearly I have to have faith in there actually having been something before I existed. You can't prove that the past happened. Hell existence could have just popped into place right now and all our memories were created to give us the illusion of there being a past. All you can prove is that the present exists, and even then that can't be for certain because this whole reality may be an illusion.

If you ever wonder why education is a problem in America, start a conversation with a redneck on the topic of evolution.

It usually helps to have this conversation in the South or in a rural area in general.

If you cannot see the scientific connections then with all due respect you aren't really knowledgeable enough to assess what shoddy science is.

Since Darwin every shred of scientific evidence uncovered has supported the theory and fallen within prediction. Since his discovery, science has advanced, uncovering the very mechanisms of life. the new sciences and all that new knowledge have only re-inforced the theory.

Funnily enough, evolution doesn't preclude a creator of the universe. It does kinda preclude a creator that gave a bowel movement about humans.

No. It isn't "hotly debated". It has not been "hotly debated" for decades

A few ignorant Americans flapping their gums does not constitute a debate.

Great wonderful rebuttal! My heart warms seeing such words. Yes as both are theory and are capable of being falsified as per the scientific method, so neither ID or evolution should be taught as the exclusive and only theories. Our children should be taught both evolution and ID (and or?) if a Intelligent design theory can be formalized and standardized. CHOICE is the buzz word~
We in the west are afraid that we will be ridiculed and belittled in the rest of the world. Its time for us to MAN UP and flip off those bastards* that seek to control us or to mold us in their failed image.

Of course not all the world is bastards, ha ha! However a large percentage are bastards and worse! They are jealous and envious of the USAs successes past and present and are desperately hoping for the USA to fail. Its not going to happen guys, so get busy and repair your own countries short comings and keep your corrupting mitts off the USA. (I say that to whom it applies, again I love most of my European and UK friends, its the instigators and backstabbers that I truly detest). I say to our friends in the world come by and see me have some beans and taters with corn bread and those big sweet onions ....I might even pull out a mason jar of the recipe and a bag of home grown sacrament out .... no not dope that stuff will kill ya', I am talking erbs' mon.

No the THEORY of what causes gravity is libel to be wrong. The events are sometimes real and tangible. No one denies that gravity exists. Theory is simply a good guess, it attempts to describe the events etc. The worst part what is science 'fact' today is not true tomorrow! I hear that silly crap about gravity so many times by anti ID people! However I like them to blurt that out, it indicates a easy victory in debate due to the ignorance of the subject, with all due respect.
