To be honest, most Americans are low information but in the endgame the Democrats lost the shutdown fight by exposing that the Democrat party acknowledges that illegal aliens and having unsecured borders are more important than federal workers or Americans on food stamps.

The Pew Research Center discovered after eight years of the largest gun sales in America's history more Americans are denying that they own a gun when the truth is there are more Americans who have a gun in the home than 10 years ago but the polls say the opposite just like when the polls said Hillary would win in a landslide.

 

List these promises. Some of them were give mes, like appointing conservative judges. "Tax reform" was an abomination and a colossal mistake.

The number of miles of wall on the southern border has never been higher. The number of agents on the southern border has never been higher. The number of illegals in the country has held steady for several years. There is no invasion. We, the left and right, have voted for many billions on border security.

(1) You have made some (rather bold) assertions, absent any proof.

(2) A "country" that does not strictly enforce its borders is not really a country, in any meaningful sense of the word. It is merely a large land mass.

(3) The amorphous term "border security" is usually meant as a mere deflection--as a means of saying that we really do not need a wall--and that Democrats will stubbornly refuse to vote for one. (Is this your position also?)
