I'd love to hear what your plan is. It is certainly possible to oppose technology and might often be a good idea.
It is not helping war refugees. It is a mass migration from the NE and Africa (and Central and South America in the US) which will inevitably swamp the white people of US and Europe and obliterate their culture.

The natives are restless. More and more in Europe and the US the right wing nationalists are growing. This is a direct consequence of immigration, not technology. If you don't like it, stop immigration.

Technology is the one unstoppable force that exists because it IS humanity. Humanity manifesting itself, all our brains working together to make all our lives better. Humanity can't and shouldn't try to oppose itself, though it can sometimes guide itself better.

The USA was populated and elevated to the lofty position it holds today by the largest mass migration in human history. That is not what is going on now. If such a thing ever does occur again we should try to take advantage of it not oppose it. The last one didn't obliterate America, far from it, it made us the most powerful, prosperous and pleasant nation on Earth.

What is happening now is that the world is changing and those who can't or won't take advantage of that change are fearfully calling forth the old racist spectres to stifle the ongoing transformations and keep themselves in positions they were never qualified to occupy and probably never will.

That is certainly not what has been happening here. People are supporting Hungary widely recognised, as links have been provided to show, as bordering fascism if not fascist and clapping them for their treatment of Muslims. One poster even calling Muslims poison.

Though I guess I would need to say that in this instance the people of Hungary are indeed trying to get back to their fascist past even honouring their heroes of the time to the consternation of Hungary's Jews.

If you support fascism, then you are a fascist supporter. There has to be a time when denial ends.

I am not of the US but could you explain how the US could not be multicultured as in a melting pot?

Being nationalist and xenophobic doesn't mean being fascist. Fascism is a form of government with a limitless powerfull government with one glorified leader. Slovenia is democratic and doesn't intend to change that, end of the debate on that.

Furthermore, excepted USA and some crazy european countries, most people in the world consider themselve as a people, and you're from this people by the bound of blood, not just an agrement with some inexistent values.

So Hungary is a fascist gov't or will be one shortly? Or is it that particular actions are called fascist but the gov't isn't a fascist gov't and hungary is not a fascist state?

The left tends to use hyperbole and even dishonesty when it comes to calling someone a fascist.

No, it's a very HUMAN thing to do, if we give ourselves half a chance. We are very much the products of our cultures, yes, but we can and do rise above them and we make all our lives better if we do. We are INDIVIDUAL people and it really doesn't matter where we come from in that sense we all want the same thing, comfort, security and enough to eat.

    I'll let Kipling say it:

Still the world is wondrous large,—seven seas from marge to marge—
    [IMG]And it holds a vast of various kinds of man;
And the wildest dreams of Kew are the facts of Khatmandhu
[IMG]And the crimes of Clapham chaste in Martaban.

Here's my wisdom for your use, as I learned it when the moose
[IMG]And the reindeer roamed where Paris roars to-night:—
"There are nine and sixty ways of constructing tribal lays,
    [IMG]"And—every—single—one—of—them—is—right!"

You think you are but are probably not. Europe and it's peoples are quite as mixed as America if you really examine them carefully and that is what you would expect from an area where all the various groups have been fighting among each other for millenia

That mixing always happened with invasions. If I have italian blood in my veins, it's because my celtic ancestors were brutalized by the romans, if I have germanic blood, it's because my gallo-romans ancestors were invaded by franks and a bunch of germanic tribe, if I have arabic blood, it's because I have probably spanish ancestors who moved from spain toward normandy, spanish ancestors who had ancestors enslaved by arabs.

So yes, race mixing = war and murder, so I can understand that eastern europeans didn't developped the masochism of french and british people.

The people here were supporting Hungary and its actions against Muslims including calling Muslims poison.

While you are right just being a racist does not make you a fascist, normally speaking only a fascist would support a fascist regime. Indeed Hungary has become a pull for the alt right. No sorry. I do not accept that supporting fascism means you are just a racist. Indeed the racism is not the main aspect of fascism, just a side affect to get people on board against the other who is used as a scapegoat generally when there are systemic problems in the economic system and the political elite are not trusted. The economic elite do not have so much of a problem in helping fascists as they do in helping those with a more socialist view as we are seeing again - Trump was supported by his party, Sanders not. The UK Tories steal the hard rights position of UKIP as they always have an extreme right/fascist wing but look how they try to defame Corbyn to destroy the left.
No, the blood racket is part of the ethnic nationalist position. That is built on my race is better than your race when there is no race and is just to make 'the other' the scapegoat. I do notice now that I will sometimes look at someone wondering where they come from whereas before I, like everyone else, just accepted them as British. Britain has always been a country accepting immigrants and has a history of allowing asylum. I think probably what concerns me more is that people are being pulled into this fascist mode while not understanding what they are doing.

    (I need to go out)

I didn't spoke of racism, but xenophobia and nationalism. You can dislike outsiders without being racist, for instance : corsican people.

First far right is strong in eastern europe simply because eastern europe suffered a lot of communism. Globally all far right governements are from countries who knew a leftist dictatorship for decades. So yes, the left dropped off communism of multicultarism, but the fact that the left has a new ideology doesn't mean eastern countries forgot everything the left did to them.

It's not about my race is better than your race it's : my people have this territory to live in, your people have this territory, don't come take my territory.

There is a huge difference between an european migrant who is both culturally and physically similar to the british than someone who come from a totally different culture, with an absolute different ways to consider power, women/men relationships and work. There is already huge differences between the european culture on those problems, but those differences are jokes between non european and european cultures.

Not all the countries have the same homicide rate, so if you make come people from a country where there is a lot of murders, except your murder rate to higher, not all the countries have the same criminality rate, so if you make people from a country where there is a lot of criminality, except the criminality rate to higher, and not all the countries have the same relationship with women, so if you make people where showing your ankles is sexual provocation and women are made responsible of the sexual desire of men, except your rate rape to higher especially with a laxist justice.

For someone who is already willing to integrate, it's sometimes very difficult to integrate, and I speak from experience of relative, so if some people aren't even interested to integrate, you will end with a divided country and a civil war.

    Have a nice day.

You need to read the thread to talk in context with what was going on. I am not wasting my time with people creating something different. If people support a Fascist state which they have in this thread, then as far as I am concerned they are illustrating that their position is fascist. You do not support what you do not approve of. If people call Muslims 'poison' then in my opinion they have the same mentality as the Nazis who called the Jews 'vermin'. It is time to call a spade a spade.

There has been plenty of material left to let you know what the situation is. I suggest you go to those and if you have an argument present it otherwise you are just denying for the sake of denial.

I left a good bit on information in post 21
    http://www.politicalforum.com/index...venian-election.534394/page-2#post-1069173032

and Mandelus spoke about things in post 22
    http://www.politicalforum.com/index...venian-election.534394/page-2#post-1069176756

It is however not the second and if you are going to say every time it is 'the left' then there is no place for discussion as fascism is itself an attack on the left. Of course that would be the position of the fascist.

I have a lot of difficulties to trust any "fascist" call because I saw this designation so much abused I can't trust anything about this. Every single parti slighty against immigration and traditionnalist have been called fascist. I realized how much it was a fraud, when I realized that Marine Le Pen, that I don't like that much, was the only french candidate who supported popular referendum. That kind of thing is basically the antithesis of fascism. However she was called fascist. At that moment I realized how much that fascist designation was a scam, an insult made to real victims of fascist victims. In France, there isn't a lot of diversity of medias, I never heard anyone complain about the risk of fascism in France, maybe because we didn't vote for Le Pen.

I think it's closer of calling "communist" poison. The jewish case is complicated because being jewish is both an ideology and an ethnic group. Muslim is only an ideology.

But what the alternative ? What is the model ? The nowodays USA ? Full of bittered people, always insulting each other over their colour of skin, obsessed by their colour of skin, reproaching each other things commited 200 years ago ?
France ? With their thousand of death because of terrorism, their no go zones ? UK ? And the hundred, if not thousands of girls sacrificed in a modern slavery case in Telford and Rotherham ?
Countries like France became garbage. So yes, we became the counter examples of what to become. We can really blame them for no wanting hundred of people to be murdered by jihadis ?

Yes Orban seems to be a very authoritarian people. He is a politician. Politician are disreputable by their very nature. If you says "I will trust this politician to improve the future of my country", I automatically assume you're a fool.

What is the alternative, what is the model you're offering to Hungary and Slovenia ?

Maybe western democracy doesn't make people dream anyome because western democracy are not anymore a model, but a scarecrow.

As with most human traits it is more or less acute within certain cultures. Northeastern Americans and Scandinavians are probably the most universalistic cultures on the planet.

Really think about what you're saying. Does "rise above it" really translate to "conform to the 'progressive' moral norms of my community?"

Of course it matters. How much acclimation would it require for you to accept child brides, domestic roles for women, and corporal punishment for thievery?

Beautiful and dead wrong. All art is a lie by necessity. Not every norm is right, no norms are right. There is no universal standard to hold them by.

But norms almost always contradict on some very important levels.

No, rising above is to use ENLIGHTENMENT values, and they are universal in America, the Enlightenment's greatest product

Child brides were commonplace in America until just a generation ago and many people believe in domestic roles for women to this day. Acceptance means I am willing to let OTHER PEOPLE do these things if THEY want to

Art is Truth, and Kipling is agreeing with you

That is a common interpretation of history. It doesn't pass the snuff test. No values are universal, not even in America. I'm descended from American Southerners, and can guarantee that you and they see the world very, very differently.

Two points. First, you're likely to condemn what you see as immoral, regardless of consent. Further, you're likely to constrain the concept of "consent" such that you nudge it closer to what you find acceptable.

Would you accept socially pressuring women into domestic roles, or would you accept socially pressuring others into accepting whatever roles a woman might desire? I'm assuming that latter, and you and I are perfectly culturally aligned on the matter. We're not "right."

Kipling is accepting the equivalency of human cultures. I'm accepting that there is no standard by which equivalency can be determined. More importantly, I'm accepting that cultures exist in a zero-sum ethical battlefield. This can be evident nowhere more than here in our own Republic, where we fought one of history's bloodiest civil wars over cultural norms each side found untenable.

The Constitution of the USA embodies Enlightenment values. The Founding Fathers were all educated extensively in Enlightenment precepts and just about all of them ascribed to them entirely. You are right in that no culture finds any values to be completely universal but as far as such values generally can be Enlightenment values are universally accepted in American culture. It may vary as to which they regard as more important and which ones are observed more in the breach than otherwise but most Americans do accept them, so do most Europeans and Western peoples.

They're universally accepted in that Americans are capable of interpreting their own values as being Enlightenment values. American conservatives and progressives alike believe that they represent "real" liberalism. But the fact is that Americans interpret liberal values, and the Constitution, very differently from one another. You and I would probably disagree about the significance of the Preamble alone.

And indeed there simply has never been a set of "American" values. Since Massachussets Bay was established the Anglophone culture of North America was split in two, and continued to split more over time.

The Constitution is not a philosophical document, it is a diplomatic document, the outcome of distrustful subcultures trying to establish a confederation.

Nazism and Islam have a lot in common.
Nazism and Islam both hate democracy.
Nazism and Islam both hate Jews.
Both of them think that the role of the woman is only for the purpose of bringing babies
Nazism and Islam both want to concour the world.
Nazism and Islam both support anti human rights.
Nazism and Islam both lie and lie to people so their goal will be achieved.

Coexistence > non existence. Instead these internationalist bureaucrat *******s are going to run everything.

The world's not Europe you little Grune Punkt. And even that it was, it still couldn't have shunned Fascism as Russia's Nazis have been taking every *******n corner at Warsaw Pact neighborhood, not this time tho by some sick sht they named communism but "patriotism".
    SSDN (N for the Name)

I call them Nazi because they stand up for dense isolationist/protectionist economies that never can be stopped evolving into some sort of state-socialist form because there's no guidelines or some official frames to prevent that from happening, other than of course, some stupid "red-lines" drawn in the sand against all-aggressive and threatening Russian madness.

So then if Islam/Islamic extremism is threatening, so is NAZISM...

Interestingly enough, both were either introduced by RUSSIA, or by its allies, like Syria, Lebanon, Iran, Turkey, Chechnya, Daghistan, etc, etc...

From Moscow with love... : )
