Looked at your link in vain for evidence of homicide rates for the time period.

It seems the main excitement of Daily Kos was this as an example how strict "gun Laws" were in Arizona (Never mind no actual legal law was ever pointed out)

    From the link,

"Yet this is all based on a widely shared misunderstanding of the Wild West. Frontier towns -- places like Tombstone, Deadwood, and Dodge -- actually had the most restrictive gun control laws in the nation.

In fact, many of those same cities have far less burdensome gun control today then they did back in the 1800s.

Guns were obviously widespread on the frontier. Out in the untamed wilderness, you needed a gun to be safe from bandits, natives, and wildlife. In the cities and towns of the West, however, the law often prohibited people from toting their guns around. A visitor arriving in Wichita, Kansas in 1873, the heart of the Wild West era, would have seen signs declaring, "Leave Your Revolvers At Police Headquarters, and Get a Check."

A check? That's right. When you entered a frontier town, you were legally required to leave your guns at the stables on the outskirts of town or drop them off with the sheriff, who would give you a token in exchange. You checked your guns then like you'd check your overcoat today at a Boston restaurant in winter. Visitors were welcome, but their guns were not."

"Leave Your Revolvers At Police Headquarters, and Get a Check"

I can see many would be bank robbers in year 2017, turning away at such a sign in the bank window. They will let a line in a window request convince them not to shoot anyone, while they are in there politely asking for $50,000.

    Bwahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!

You are afraid to post a cogent based reply, or is it laziness?

Here is my second reply to your link, that didn't post any data on gun fire incidents and homicide rates, in the article you chose to post. Your link doesn't provide actual gun crime/homicide related data, unless I missed it?

The U.S. Government Homicide stats started in 1890,

"Except for the first five years, 1885 to 1889, the sources are official U.S. Government data, from 1900 to 2011 either the Department of Justice or the FBI. Compare the chart above with the comparatively low resolution Department of Justice chart from the Department of Justice’ Bureau of Justice Statistics National Crime Survey on the right.

The Disaster Center maintains a spreadsheet of FBI crime numbers since 1960 that is current for State and National data, here. "

Here is the chart with a starting point of 1900:

Notice how low it was in the beginning?

Now from 1885 starting point based on a different data base criteria:

LINK to the last unposted chart

YOU need to show me something more than a few signs saying: "leave your gun at the local police department". Where are the gun related data for the period showing what was really going on?

Never made a statement either way on Airplanes, you have yet to quote me saying, I favor Gun free zones, you that dumb?

The VIDEO, was making fun of the idea, that Gun Free Zones signs, will convince criminals to go away.

It is clear you have NOTHING to show for your continuous unsupported claims. You say so little, showing to others here, that you do so such a poor job supporting your position. It is no wonder why liberals are losing this gun debate, when they have so much trouble making coherent, cogent replies, that are instead mostly opinions.

Recently the idea of OPEN carry is taking hold in some areas. Concealed Carry is a huge success in most states, something gun banners always fight. It is here to say,but gun banners will never understand why.

Here is the LINK to the current status of Concealed Carry in the states:

Your cherry picked facts have already been adequately addressed. It's dishonest for you to keep pretending they haven't been. Let's move on.

Perhaps move onto the fact that the levels of violent crime in the united states have been dropping to record lows, despite the number of privately owned firearms, and concealed carry, being on the increase?

According to YOU, I am cherry picking, when I use the following: U.N. Crime information data,FBI crime Stats,DOJ and the Death Penalty blog. None which you addressed at all.

You ONLY source you posted in reply to me today was, Daily Kos......,that I addressed by pointing out that it offered ZERO homicide data,ZERO gun incidents in your link, then I showed the official Crime stats from the American Government.

You don't even have the bottom of a barrel to scrape. You don't seem to realize that you have not ONCE posted an actual DIRECT counterpoint to anything I wrote.

And your post omits the fact that the Brady Bill went into effect in 1993 when crime was still going up, but the background checks didn't go in until 1998, so it could not have affected anything.

Funny enough, Sarah Brady bought a 30-06 rifle for her son, which is one of the things the "Brady Bill" was supposed to combat. Ah liberals. Do as I say....you know the rest.

The AWB didn't do anything, since all rifles combined have always been a tiny fraction of firearm violence. It's been gone for like 12 years now and never did anything to stop crime or criminals.

You don't appear to even know what cherry picking is. You continue to beat your chest while ignoring the valid objections that have been raised against your fallacious arguments.

Engaging in constructive debate with some people is not possible.

But you do favor gun free zones. Your lack of denial screams the truth. And we can all hear it. Lol

None of your anti-gun posts have ever been based on any unbiased fact based data.

If the anti-gun side was serious in their desire to curb violence, they would seek laws that punish criminal behavior to a much higher degree.

They do not. They only seek to strip everyone of their right to keep and bear arms.

That's unacceptable, and we have way too much factual information on our side such as CCW owner statistics from more than 20 years.
