If the Jews wanted Jesus dead for preaching blasphemy why didn't they do it themselves instead of having the Roman guy do it and wash his hands clean of it?

What is your opinion on this matter, were the Romans or modern day Italians responsible for the death of Jesus or the Jews?

It looks like the death was brutal but the Jews didn't want him to suffer just die so it looks like they both are equally to blame for the final moments.

It's only a story. Neither was to blame as they were only actors in a god's soap opera.

According to Roman Law, the Jews would of needed the permission of the Roman State to commit a death sentence. The Jews had a notorious history for killing their own prophets. It would be better for the pharasies to have the Romans kill Christ since many of their own people believed him to be a prophet. Pilate obviously didn't want to kill Jesus, but he feared an uprising(Matthew 27:24, Mark 15:11-15, Luke 23:13-24, John 19:6-16).

The Sadducees where also threatening to tell Caesar on Pilate(John 19:12-13).

The oldest gospel attributes the arrest of Jesus to Jewish elders. But this proves nothing. I think the attribution was a bit of fictional theater to set Jesus and his teachings apart from tradition, to make Jesus seem more at odds with tradition than he actually was.

Story has it that Jesus' dad did him in. Something about an error that the dad did a long time before.

I heard he faked his own death. He killed himself, but he's not really dead.

Why would they do it themselves? Israel was under under Roman occupation and legal jurisdiction. The Jewish religious leaders had no legal authority render judgements and hand out sentences. Why do you call the police instead of pursuing your own form of vigilante justice when your the victim of a crime?

Jesus was killed because some powerful anti-God people wanted him killed. And they used the Romans to do it because that was the only way it could be done legally.

To point blame at a race is ridiculous. Many Jews mourned his death...and many Jews and Gentiles died after the event for believing in Christ....

Politics and law. Politicizing religion is always a disaster, i.e. the catholic church in the middle ages and the protestent church during the reformation era, and Islamnazi-loserism now.

Jesus' life fulfilled prophesy and ransomed us from our sin debt. Nothing to be concerned about, it all worked out according to God's plan, just as it will in the future, according to prophesy.

The Pharasees (Jewish High Priests) brought him before the Roman governor for trial, and the Romans did carry out the execution, but it was a the Pharasees that called for his death.
People, like Mel Gibson, who claim that all jews wanted him dead, are morons.....Only the Pharasees called for his execution...and they needed the Romans to do it simply because the Jewish leaders were not allowed to carry out captial punishment on their own.....the people who called for his death were paid off by theatened by the Pharasees to be there.....A good number of Jews had never even met Jesus. Some had never even heard of him....

I just want to know why God didn't do it right in the first place.

Seems like God is not omnipotent and makes mistakes.
It also seems that God has to work within certain perameters.

When politics by itself may be anywhere from disasterous to beneficial, the question you need to ask yourself is why politicizing religion is so disasterous.

It is hard to believe that the Romans, who owned, controlled and ran Judea, would do anything to appease the local religion. Jesus violated laws and was punished. Sedition was rampant at the time Jesus supposedly lived. Fruit cake religious nuts were killing Romans and fighting to free Judea. Sedition or treason got the death penalty.

Helen Wambach Ph. D. conducted some astonishing and extensive research on visions of past lives as seen in a hypnotic state.

Ever since reading her two books back in the early 1990's I rather suspected that sooner or later this type of research would shed light on the events of the ministry of Rabbi Jesus/ Yeshua in Judaea.

Well.......last December I read a book that truly astonished me.............Many of you who are especially interested in all that Rabbi Jesus/ Yeshua may have been taught that was not recorded for us in scripture may wish to skip to about page 107 and read to the end of the book.......Amazing!!!!!!!!

If *I* was Jesus and had his supposed super-hero powers, then to clarify all this stuff up, once and for all, I'd just use my magic Jesus super-hero powers and tell everybody what the real deal was (probably to NOT hate the Jews for what happened). But of course that's because I'm far far more moral than Jesus is, or he's not real at all....either way he's of course not worth worshipping/fearing/praying to. Just like Zeus, or Thor, or Allah, or Nanook, or Odin or any other other thousands upon thousands of claimed gods/prophets, clearly.
I bet that Margot would also (she's quite moral), so would Lien, and bruce, and Wyrd, and virtually every other forum poster.....so why not believe in HUMANITY, instead of a slave-accepting immoral loser like Jesus who clearly doesn't give a rat's behind about his very own "children". That's no way to treat your children.
