You did not read the article did you. The woman was accused of tainting the water from the well by drinking from it, and being a Christian. According to Sharia Law, a Christian is considered unclean. So, when she drank from the cup, and then dipped it back into the bucket, it made the water in the bucket unclean. She then added insult to supposed injury by saying that Jesus would not see things the same as Mohammed. Those that heard her statement considered it an insult to the Prophet. By Sharia law, she had two choices. Convert to Islam, or die.

Now, do you understand?
