I never said they're given degrees, I said they're given easier admission requirements.

Now, tell me I'm lying and stop moving the goalposts. Tell me I'm lying so I can prove you wrong.

You wont, because you know it's the truth.

Obama phones, EBT cards, welfare, affirmative action, Section 8 housing? What more do you want? I will go for one way trip to any planet you so desire.

That is not how you handle a problem. You don't just pay people and expect it to go away. You learn from the past (HUNDREDS OF YEARS AGO) and treat all citizens equally.

Reparations can be given for anything. That's money the world doesn't have. Everyone in this world has been discriminated against. The ONLY solution is to move forward with equality and stop begging for free money.

    Ummm, no.
To take responsibility, I would have had to own a slave. Now, see how stupid your suggestion sounds.
So how about this, you and your fellow white guilt crowd should dig into your pockets and pay reperations to a bunch people that were never slaves, or affected by slavery, come on now, get the ball rolling, no good pointing fingers, take responsibility, and hope the rest follow. Lead by example and all of that.

This is an issue which I feel strongly about, and one which I disagree with both sides on.

I am all for reparations, but on an individual basis and with substantive due process and the presumption of innocence.

    [hr][/hr]

    Picture the following scenario:

Person A[SUB]1[/SUB] enslaves Person B[SUB]1[/SUB]. His labor is forcibly taken from him. The descendent of Person A[SUB]1[/SUB], Person A[SUB]n[/SUB] has just received an inheritance which has passed from his exploitative ancestor to him, through the ages.

Person B[SUB]n[/SUB] should then be able to sue to recover damages.

If no chain of inheritance can be shown from Person A[SUB]1[/SUB] to Person A[SUB]n[/SUB], then there can be no reparations, because person Person A[SUB]n[/SUB] is categorically innocent and has received no stolen property. Doing this through taxation or on a strictly racial basis is the perpetuation of slavery, not its reparation.

    [hr][/hr]

Apply this process universally to rectification - including where someone has innocently bought stolen property (such as a fenced iPhone).

The UN is a joke, they ought not even bother - especially since they'll most likely implement a process of continued forceful theft under the guise of rectification.

Why? The Africans that sold them into slavery should be the ones paying Reparations, they could have said no.

Oh that's why all black students graduating HS go to college because its so easy for them to get in.

Anyone with a brain knows its a lie.

Well the majority of black folks have never had an Obama phone, EBT cards, welfare or Section 8 housing. White women benefit more from AA than anyone else and there are plenty of whites who enjoy Obama phones, EBT cards, welfare and Section 8 housing. So much for that dumb ass theory.

How about the British paying for those forced to emigrate from, and those who died in the Irish Famine. There was a surplus of food in Ireland during this time, but the "nobles" of Ireland used it to pay gambling debts and raised rents on tiny cottage farms, forcing the people off the land, and even into eating grass. Drove more Irish out of Ireland than inhabit it today...........lets remember and keep straight our atrocities - the American Black community has nobody alive today who was a "victim" of slavery, and the U.S. Congress has already apologized for it.

There is no international law, code, treaty or moral/ethical maxim that requires any sovereign entity to assume responsibility for the conduct and actions of those who existed 150 years ago, plus. Nothing. The idea of reparations, is part of an archaic ideological myth that people should be responsible for "the sins of their father", so to speak. I absolutely reject being made a victim just to ease someones abstract sense of justice.

    http://www.foxnews.com/us/2014/11/1...r-admissions-that-favor-other-minorities.html

The lawsuit cites a 2009 study by Princeton sociologists that concluded that while the average Asian American applicant needed a much higher 1460 SAT score to be admitted, a white student with similar GPA and other qualifications only needed a score of 1320, while blacks needed 1010 and Hispanics 1190.

Again... Blacks with the same grades and lower test scores get in because X amount of blacks need to be in the school for grants.

Basically, they're allow blacks in, not because they earned it, but because they felt sorry for them.

That's (*)(*)(*)(*)ing embarrassing. How do you take pride in yourself when someone lowers the bar for you because you can't make it on your own.

Embarrassing. That's college. You see it in government, departments, you see it in the military now, promoting minorities for no reason other than 'we needed some'.

We don't need (*)(*)(*)(*), but if we don't promote some they'll cry so here, here's your free promotion. That's life we live in.

    I really hate this question.
It's not going to change a thing for the descendants. They never knew their homeland, just like most American's didn't know the homeland of their great great grandfathers. I'm aware of the difference of "choice" to bring your family to the US, but I don't see how money will appease what has happened. The only way I think this may work is if a family wanted to move back to what they would regard as their homeland - then perhaps we can arrange travel and equal living somehow.

In courts of law , the guilty can be judged and sentenced decades after thevevent with new evidence. We now all know and can prove whites forcibly enskaved bkacks for 400 years and not only were never punished but received Mullin dollar settlements in order for them to stop satanic practices. Sick huh

Well go dig up the guilty and haul them into court. It wasn't just "Whites" , it was specific people. Go hold them accountable.

You may not like it but black peoples' freedom in this country was paid for by the blood of white men. Just some food for thought. It must suck to go through life with a 160 year old chip on ones shoulder.

"A number of African kings and merchants took part in the trading of enslaved people from 1440 to about 1833. For each captive, the African rulers would receive a variety of goods from Europe. These included guns, ammunition and other factory made goods."
