Reminds me of my early schooling in the Catholic school system in Ireland where the wardens, I mean nuns would be patrolling, looking for any infraction by students, no matter how slight so they could inflict physical punishment and beat you into submission no matter your age. It sure taught me not to f...inn swear. Funny, looking back. Variations of the word f... are commonly used in everyday conversation, including in news print, public commentary, and even broadcast RTE. Thought police, been going on for years, if you recall the deadly pop tart gun incident. They have been really effective in reducing school violence with gun, eh? It was just a stick pun. Its ridiculous for the school to make a big deal over a stick. We need a whole new branch of government to deal with these issues!
We just need people to be rational and for schools to stop assuming a parental roll and parents to stop abdicating theirs to the state.
