“Thousands of anti-abortion activists are expected to participate Friday in the annual "March for Life" in Washington, D.C.

The annual march on the capitol is the largest anti-abortion rally in the country, with the theme this year being, "with every woman, for every child."

The theme focuses on caring for both mother and child during nine months of pregnancy and years following, according to ABC7 News.

"We celebrate the heroic work of Pregnancy Care Centers and Maternity Homes, while offering a roadmap to how we will truly achieve a life-affirming culture that respects the inherent dignity of all human life,"“…

supporting both the mother to be and her child. That is exactly the right way to deal with the issue. A great event carrying on even after the great success of overturning Roe vs Wade and returning the issue to the states.

What a great day! A great use of our 1st amendment free speech, assembly, association, and petition rights in the constitution of the United States of America. I’m proud to be pro life!

May they remain safe and unassaulted by left wing nut cases.

From the article in the OP.

"life-affirming culture that respects the inherent dignity of all human life"

Did that happen? Was that achieved?

If they’re serious why are none of them insisting the gop nominee promise to push for a federal ban?

So they are supportive of abortion when the life and health of the mother is endangered? Btw how long after birth does the support continue

What are they marching for? They already got Roe vs. Wade overturned by their activist SC judges. Maybe, they are marching for even more extremist legislation, restricting access? These people are never going to be satisfied.

And a huge dollop of argumentum ad populum. “Lookit how many people there are!!” Truth is this tiny minority is swamped by the huge numbers supporting free access to abortion

They will be satisfied when women start having to report ovulation cycles to a state agency so they can monitor for any pregnancy and then prosecute if they lose the fetus.

We are already seeing raped children not be able to get abortions, women with dead fetuses in them not be able and now courts are saying doctors don’t even have to preform emergency abortions even when the life of the mother is at risk.

These people are evil and they will not stop

Hyperbole from a far leftist who mocks other’s religion with his avatar. I don’t care for religion, but that image of Jesus on a T-Rex is over the top. It is insulting. Christianity offers a message of peace and hope which should be in any “progressive’s” agenda to make the human condition better, unless they are true Marxists.

Any state that supports abortion can make it legal. States, who have qualms, can limit it. That is how the constitution works.

I am pro choice for a period far longer than the antiabortionists, but I don’t support late term abortions. I suppose that leaves me in the middle, which pleases no one. So be it. No one tells me what to post.

These people are not “evil.” You think they are because your politics are binary. There are oppressors and the oppressed. You can’t think about anything in the middle because the bigoted professors who thought you can entertain no such thoughts.

I really couldn’t care any less how you feel about my avatar. Christianity might offer peace — evangelical nationalism only seeks to weaponize the religion though.

I am against anyone forcing their beliefs onto another. I don’t care who has the best sky friend.

No, that how the right wing stacked court reinterpreted it after another conservative court said bodily autonomy was a right.

Don’t worry, since precedent no longer means jack ****, I am sure it will be revisited.

Late term abortions are almost never elective — they happen because of lack of access of healthcare or medical issues.

When a rapist has more rights to a woman’s body than she does, something is wrong. When children as young as 13 are having to feel their state to abort their rapists child, something is wrong. When doctors are scared to preform medically necessity abortions, something is wrong.

    They are absolutely evil.

I would have zero issues banning late term abortions after a fetus is viable. I even believe their could be middle ground prior to that point — but that isn’t what these people are seeking.

My position isn’t binary. It’s just not blind.

More like states rights supersede a woman’s right to life

The country isn’t ready for that any more than the reverse in 1973. That’s why leaving it to the states is the best option until a national consensus is reached.

A bloody “consensus” HAS been reached…! Are you ignorant of the last 7 election results where abortion rights were on the ticket…? Even in so-called ‘red’ states, people have demonstrated by convincing proportions, that they want a woman’s right to determine her own reproductive outcomes to be left to her…!

    Open your eyes….

No, no….please check that. By all means, continue to loudly advertise these events and make sure that everyone knows that the MAGAs are right behind them…I’m sure that it will work out wonderfully for you…!

The county is ready for women to have bodily autonomy which is why in every state that Republicans have put it up for a vote they have had their ass handed to them.

What this country isn’t ready for is christian nationalism that want to force their chosen religious ideology on an unwilling nation that is rapidly becoming secular.

As if we have any control over what happens in those blue states like California, Illinois, New York. According to polling the national consensus is for unlimited abortion the 1st trimester 12-14 weeks and then end it except to save the life of the mother or for extreme no quality of life at all deformities after that. It’s not clear that the constitution would allow for any new national standard imposed up the states and the people on this issue.

They absolutely could enact federal laws around it. It’s only a states issue now because the Feds never acted,
