It is clear from Trump supporter's posts they neither understand the process nor the Constitution. I don't know where they are getting their information but it isn't from C-SPAN. The impeachment process has hardly begun and Trump's cult is telling the world it's over. Not by a long shot. The first three witnesses laid out a competent description of current corruption in Ukraine. Nobody who understands the process anticipated these State Department professionals to finger Trump. No way.

Almost a dozen witnesses are scheduled for next week. Some of them have direct knowledge of the call and Trump's contact with Ukraine and his attempt at extortion and/or bribery. Call it what you will, dollars for dirt is a crime. The ugly part is that Trump sought to benefit personally by bribing Ukraine to dig up dirt on the Biden's. It backfired. No dirt. Trump was caught red handed. Giuliani is very expose in all this and I expect him to fold soon. Bolton is sharpening his fangs.

Going forward with a bogus/partisan impeachment inquiry is an attempt at subverting Democracy by circumventing the will of the voters (especially within a year of an election).

I have an idea.... I will not put words into your mouth, and you dont put words into mine. Deal?

Mueller did no such thing. He was a guy with alzheimers used to cover the fact that the special investigators were only special because they were on stage at the Hillary Clinton victory party on election night and were upset that they didn't get any Champagne.

But it isn't bogus or partisan. They are methodically investigating the attempted extortion. Repubs are welcome to produce any evidence they have in refutation of what we are learning. Again, arguing process gets you nowhere. I realize it is all you have as the facts are all aligned against the Divider-in-Chief. Just admit it................he's guilty as hell and you just don't care cuz................Dear Leader.

By 'stick a fork in it' do you mean shut it down or pass it on the the senate finally?

I agree- this has gone on long enough. Time to move on.

If what you say is true, then he will be removed. If what I say is true, then he will not. It is a very simple calculation. I like my chances. A LOT!!!!!!

Don't be ridiculous. You are living proof Repubs don't care about his guilt. Only ways to justify leaving him in office.

I have no doubt of Trump’s criminality or treason or whatever you want to call it. It is wrong for a president, or any person in a position of public trust, to pursue personal gain over national interests. So far, the testimony has been showing just such behavior from Trump and his associates.

This reminds me a bit of the Casey Anthony trial, of which I watched the entirety of. I am sure, probably due to negligence, that she was responsible for the death of her daughter. Yet throughout the trial, the prosecution was able to show little more than the fact that Casey was a bit flaky. And the jury found her not guilty.

The testimony so far has shown that the Ambassador was pushed out because she was unwilling to play ball. She was replaced by Bill Taylor. However in the meantime Giuliani, Perry, and Sondland, along with Lev and Igor, were working over the Ukrainians, softening them up to be compliant with the Giuliani/Trump plan.
That plan being that the Ukrainian President go on CNN and announce investigations into the Biden’s and the origin conspiracy theory Trump has been peddling.

Taylor, being a bright fellow, to the consternation of Rudy and the gang, quickly came up to speed and was horrified at the corruption he had found.

Stay tuned, there is more to come. The plot thickens.

I’m pretty sure that if Shiff didn’t hold the line, Republicans would quickly turn the hearings into a $&)(@show.

More like stick a fork in the pig and call him done. Not sure why Republîcans want to prop up a stuck pig. Maybe they like to hear him squeal.

You are correct. The actions in question do not concern me in the slightest. To call it a nothingburger is an understatement.

I stopped reading here. The personal political gain motivation might be true and might not be. It is an opinion. There isn't any evidence of this motivation at all. None whatsoever. Try to stay within the facts. Just impeach the man and get on with it.

I've never seen one person even offering to suggest they have information and evidence in any of these stupid news stories, from a stupid election, about some stupid tv host, that'd we be stupid to believe 10 people believe he's the actual current president, as in, in the overworld, somebody else is actually President right now, and none of these are scandals.

Some posters have expressed that this impeachment process should move on -- "stick a fork in it." How long did the Clinton impeachment and trial go on? Anybody remember? How about the Banghazi investigation with nearly a dozen Republican committee hearings and an 11 hour testimony by Sec. Clinton? When you have the answer, come back and tell us to move a presidential impeachment along.

Some have stated they are bored or just done care. I would respond those who hold this view are simply unwilling to invest the time and energy to participate in a democracy. To others, I would say you have no interest in or loyalty to our Constitution. Certainly not enough to actually pick up a copy and read it. One poster said he/she would rather watch the Flintstones. That sums it up for a lot of posters.

I love America and the laws upon which our republic was founded. I have served in our military and pledged allegiance to our Constitution. I believe it is worth defending against all enemies both foreign and domestic, and pledge allegiance to the same. It appears a sizable percentage of posters have pledged their allegiance to Trump. I will have none of that and I will not rest until a corrupt president is removed from office for which our Constitution provides a process.

And that is exactly my point. They don't concern you because Don did them. If Hillary did them your hair would be on fire and you'd be screaming to have her locked up.

Of course Hillary Clinton was (and is) a power hungry demon who spent her whole life trying to obtain political power and influence. I'm actually afraid of what she might do as president.

For Donald Trump, being president is just another thing he can mark off his bucket list before he dies.

What does that rather dubious view of reality have to do with the impeachable offenses Putin's favored candidate has committed?

It's Time for Trump cultists to 'come to Jesus' and admit they have elected a president for change and instead elected a liar, narcissist, egoist, and a president either ignorant of the law or sees it as an obstruction to his personal objectives. What can one expect when electing such a person to our country's highest office? While I understand why Trump was elected, I also understand why he will be impeached. Trump's presidency can be characterized as three years of self interest, lawlessness, lies, corruption, and an absolute contempt for people that elected him. Trump hates most of the American people and uses the rest to promote his personal agenda. His rallies are a deliberate obscene act aimed at dividing America. He is corrupted and drunk with power.

As the impeachment process pulls back the curtains on Trump and his sycophants additional layers of corruption ooze up from the swamp he created. That is why this impeachment will not end by January 1. As new levels of corruption are revealed, more investigations will follow. Rudy Giuliani is but one more example of conspirators that will appear before the committee. As the fire around Trump reaches a conflagration, more Trump "loyalists" will head for the fire trucks and turn states evidence. That process has now begun. Will the impeachment process extend well into election season? Count on it. There is so much more to come and the few remaining Trump straphangers will be swept up in the blaze.

They don't concern me because it is manufactured nonsense that is truly much ado about literally nothing. As I said before, I will speak for me, and you speak for you. Stop falsely putting your words into my mouth.

I will add you to the list of Trumpers who, in the absence of a counterfactual argument, simply choose to deny objective reality.
