Too incompetent to be prosecuted but not too incompetent to rule?

…”Biden “willfully retained and disclosed classified material after his vice presidency when he was a private citizen.” I’m not a lawyer but I’m pretty sure this constitutes a felony, at least when a Republican or anyone not named Obama, Biden, or Clinton does it. But Mr. Hur won’t bring charges because “Mr. Biden would likely present himself to a jury, as he did during our interview with him, as a sympathetic, well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory.”

This brings to mind the story of Vincent “The Chin” Gigante, a mafioso who feigned insanity to avoid prosecution. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t think Mr. Biden, at this point, has the capacity to feign anything, least of all competence. But he wasn’t a pathetic, senile caricature of his current self when these crimes were committed. Hur’s decision to not charge reminds of James Comey’s speech exonerating Hillary Clinton of her national security breaches. The difference here is Hur has the authority to charge or not, where Comey did not. Many saw this as Comey taking his boss, then Attorey General Loretta Lynch, off the hook for making an obviously, politically charged call.

Democrat partisans are, naturally, calling the prosecutor’s report a hatchet job on the president. If they were being honest they would thank him for putting what many would consider the final nail in Biden’s reelection fantasy…”

How can one be too incompetent to stand trial for obvious and blatant crimes and yet be competent enough to be President of the United States? That is the big question we as a nation must answer. His press conference yesterday proved his present incompetence.

The only thing of virtue there I see is that if Kamala can't and shouldn't do it, Mike Johnson is next in line.....the only "adult in the room".

Really, the same guy who couldn't get his own party to vote to impeach the homeland security guy. The same guy who wanted the Democrats to cave and give border concessions to get foreign aid considered and then rejected even discussing the deal when it happened. The guy who refuses to discuss anything with Democrats. You see him as the adult?.

According to Former President Trumps legal defenses no one because he is President and has not been committed of a crime. He can however be impeached.

Let's stop defending Biden. We all saw his presser. Sad, sad, sad. I hope he makes it until January 2025 without causing a major international incident, putting us into a war, and I hope we have no terrorist attack from the foreign illegals being allowed into the USA.

No, not sure. Maybe invoke it on both of them?

Stephen Miller may have made the most amusing/devastating assessment of Biden's incompetency last night when he observed that "the Department of Justice effectively said that Joe Biden is less mentally fit and capable than the average inmate in San Quentin...It is a very low bar to be ruled mentally fit for trial".

    LOL!!!

Did Mueller take unqualified cheap shots at Trump? No. Yet somehow Hur, after he hopped off his chariot, does so in his report. He's not qualified to comment on someone's mental state and it wasn't even relevant to comment on Biden's dead son. Unbelievably grade schoolish and unprofessional of him.

    You are really misinformed here.

Asking because I don't know...did a clinical psychologist rule Biden mentally incompetent? Or are we talking about the opinion of a lawyer?

From the strategic point of view, Republicans are better off with Biden. Despite that fact that many people have seen that Harris is a giggle puss and a knit wit, she will be president and she will be the first Black female Chief Executive. That will give her a huge boost in the polls and with months to go. There will a short time for her to really screw things up and show that she as bad as Biden.

It is amazing how little thought presidential candidates put to choosing their running mates. Obama chose Biden and rescued him from the political graveyard, Instead of going off in the sunset, Biden became presidential timber. According to reports, the Obama forced Harris down Biden’s throat. That’s two examples of Obama’s inability to pick decent VP candidates.

In the old days, vice presidents often disappeared after their boss left office. Starting with Nixon in 1960, they have become prime presidential candidates, which is too bad. Most of them were mediocrities or worse who deserved to disappear.
