You agree that the mortality and infection rate, for the US, is 0.003 and 0.008 respectively?

And your answer lies in the number 477 deaths, because that number has grown to 591 deaths because 114 of them just happened to today. That's a 23.9% growth rate over yesterday, and therefore mega-exponential.

Yes, absolutely. IMO the tragydeath data should be broken down into the percentages with and without preconditions. Further the percentage with preconditions should be broken down into individual and groups of preconditions as a way to further highlight who is at the most risk.

Assuming you have done the arithmetic correctly those would be the current data based on total population.

That's a link to his post - not my own.

And just to be abundantly clear, you believe that the infection/mortality rate is found by dividing the cumulative total of infections/deaths by the total population?

I don't know if the same applies to other countries but the UK figures for Monday & Tuesday should be averaged to obtain a more realistic figure - Mondays reported number of deaths tends to be under reported and Tuesdays number seems to include those numbers missed out in the day before figures. This has been the case for the last three weeks as can be seen by a dip in Mondays figures and a rise in Tuesdays figures against the general daily trend

The previous single day death record for the world was 5979.

    We are currently at 6824.

And what on earth do you think you can infer by such a statistic? I can't think of anything valuable.

Influenza is not caused by Coronaviruses. Stop pretending that you get to create your own definitions, math, and science.

You can infer to what extent the total population of a country or region is affected by using the total population as the baseline.

Attempting to infer anything from a calculation in which the denominator is not known is misleading.

That is your opinion. The world-o-meter calculates and lists that stat everyday. It is a way to compare regions or countries.

For example I can compare Sweden with Belgium which have different testing stats.
