As of 2020-12-007, I added Turkey, Ukraine and South Africa to the tracking. Turkey is now in the daily small analyses. Of the other two plus Peru, all three of which are now over 900,000 cases:

Peru: 993,760, averaging +1,831 new infections per day = 3.4 days before Peru jumps as 16th nation over 1,000,000 = 2020-12-022
Ukraine: 944,381, averaging +10,308 new infections per day = 5.4 days before Ukraine jumps as 17th nation over 1,000,000 = 2020-12-024
South Africa: 901,538, averaging +8,065 new infections per day = 12.2 days before South Africa jumps as 18th nation over 1,000,000 = 2020-12-031

It very much looks like we will end the year 2020 with 18 nations over the 1,000,000-mark.

BTW, I would like to encourage everyone that, when you read the excel table screenshots, look at the +cases and +deaths for each country and then go to columns N & O and do a quick mental comparison to the 7 day rolling averages for both of those figures. I wonder why we don't see daily tracking and counts on crime in the USA - including by state and where they higher numbers and lowest numbers are for violent crimes: Arson, aggravated assault, kidnapping, rape and murder?

Why is that so irrelevant none of this is hardly ever mentioned on the MSM, in the press or pushed as topics by Big Tech and social media? Which is more to fear for a 19 year old single woman who lives alone is a poor part of town? Being infected by covid-19 for which her survival rate - complete and not nightmarish memories of even if she has any meaningful symptoms aren't even 0.001% - be being violently raped for the nightmares may never end and her chances of surviving this and with any serious injury are vastly higher than 0.001%.

I understand your point about the survival rate of a 19 year old woman, but the issue is far larger than that. For every 19 year old woman who contracts the virus and resolves it, perhaps without even knowing it went through her body, how many people in her chain of contact did she unknowingly infect and how many of them went to visit Grandma and Grandpa for, say, Thanksgiving?

As for your pretty direct inference that we should look to see where the money is flowing in order to know what may or may not be prioritized in the news, I am far more in agreement with you than you may realize.

All of this, however, does not change the fact that over 320,000 US-Americans have died from Covid-19, it is not like a regular flu and it will take YEARS to figure out all of the damage it will have left in its wake.

What seemed clear is that incessant coverage about covid-19 seems to be turned on and off often as a diversion tactic equating censorship for purpose of burying other stories or silencing who they do not want heard. Fact - the MSM, press and most news Internet outlets are owned a short list of the wealthiest corporations and people on earth.

For example, Joe Biden has only won 1 primary - North Carolina (which he lost meaning an irrelevant state) - having lost those before it. Nearly all Democratic Primaries remains and Biden clearly was not the favorite - though support otherwise split among the other candidates. What happened?

Biden met with billionaires promising that he will do nothing to significantly change anything for those billionaires - who control the MSM, press and Internet. Immediately they ONLY thing you would see on TV that was political was their commentators declaring that Biden should and will be the nominee as a fact declaration - as Biden was self quarantined - with all other time incessantly and singularly repeating the same info about covid-19. They would not allow 1 second coverage of Bernie Sanders or any other Democratic candidate. Covid-19 coverage was used to make sure no one saw or heard anyone but Joe Biden. The others no longer existed on the MSM.

The news coverage singularly was declaring the Democratic primary was effectively over because Biden won - although almost all primaries states hadn't even voted - as brief interruptions to otherwise continuously saying the same over and over about covid-19. Covid-19 was used to 100% censor and ban all other Democratic candidates as if they didn't exist.

I see this over and over. Anytime the plutocrats want any topic silenced they use incessant redundant covid-19 coverage to do so. 99.9% coverage of covid-19 is just repeating what has been presented and said thousands or hundreds of thousands of times before. It isn't for info but for tactic diversion and convert censorship of other stories.

 

My complaint is how covid-19 coverage is not for info but tactically for political purpose.
I hoped the 2020 election would be between Trump and Warren. Business capitalism versus classic American liberalism with neither being lifelong career insider politicians. But Warren committed the greatest possible sin. She said she would break up Amazon and Google as the largest monopolies in the history of earth. Instantly, every network - leftwing and rightwing - declared Warren was more a radical socialist and communist than Stalin and Mao combined who would destroy capitalism. At the same time Biden publicly promised billionaires they had nothing to fear from him.

With this, although over 40 Democratic primaries remained and Biden had only won one state's primary - an irrelevant red state - Warren was destroyed, Biden declared the winner and otherwise 24/7 covid-19 coverage was used to make certain no one heard or saw 1 second of Bernie Sanders.

The topic of covid-19 is NOT just does it exist and how bad is it, but how covid-19 has been politically as a tactic not related to covid-19 at all. Covid-19 coverage has become a political tactic of censorship and used politically otherwise. With such extreme politicization by the wealthiest plutocrats of all resulting in massive benefits to those same plutocrats makes me extremely hesitant to believe any of it.

Remember, the plutocrats are who decide what is and is not presented on television, in newspapers and most of the Internet about covid-19. There is NEVER 1 second of media coverage of anything harmful to the super rich, only beneficial. Would they pursue manipulating facts for their profit? I think they'd kill a thousand people if it got them an extra dollar to and to their tens of billions of wealth if they could get away with it. There is only ethic to most mega billionaires - how to get another dollar.

There is no profit in covering crime because they are not at risk having their own personal security forces - so why cover it? There's nothing in it for them. Why should they care one iota about us peasants?

There is zero doubt that mainstream media has talking points, and those points impact new media, alternative media, although there is some altruistic value in your example of rehashing the virus drama daily. Information isn't a bad thing but its insanely repetitive at this stage.

Hypothetical: using the crime discussion,
Are you suggesting that if Amazon for example sold private security products and services on a large scale, that we would see incentivized discussion about crime?

Back on topic (somewhat) the repetitive nature of the covid news cycle has essentially moved my attention to alternative media for more interesting news because honestly the case counts and death tolls aren't really that gripping anymore, sure it's still sad and serious, but not as compelling as it once was.
