Trans student blocked from BOTH locker rooms during school saftey drill

They made this poor girl stand all alone in the bleachers while the boys and girls huddled in the gender based locker rooms.

Her teachers then brought her back to the locker rooms, but made her sit outside in the hall—completely separated from her classmates, and barred from hiding out in what they ostensibly figured was the safest place to be during a shooting.



The message this sends it just terrible. It says, Trans children are not worth saving, and that they are more expendable than a non trans student. Just disgusting, and what a failure on the part of the school to do their best to protect ALL students.

It always surprises me when people claim its the other 999 people who can identify with the sex/gender they have in between their legs are the ones who mentally ill, but the 1 person who feels different is "sane".

 

None of the articles specify the amount of time she was set aside while teachers decided which bathroom was appropriate.
Of course the liberal nuts will say this shows how much everyone hates tran kids and the entire faculty need to be fired and the tran kid should get $10 mil...
This is a case of teachers not knowing what to do in an ever changing dynamic

 

My question about this is, who the F cares where it goes. Does anyone really think boys or girls will only hide in their own bathroom if an active shooter really was going on?

Maybe this is the kid they are worried about shooting up the school and don't want to give up their defensive plan against it. They are the most likely suspect, especially if they are on anti-depressant drugs.

 

I don't see why students need to be separated by sex in the event of a school shooting. The real message is that they lack experience in dealing with this issue and did what they thought was best at the time. Thats what drills are for.

Was it a girl or did it "identify" as a girl? You obviously do not want to send it to a locker room full of people with different sex organs. That could get weird.

You're thinking about it wrong. You're not supposed care what it wants to be called. You're supposed to use whatever pronoun it tells you it wants to be.

 

They also have to answer to the hundreds of parents who may have an issue with their daughter being squeezed into a room with a student with a penis and sex issues. They chose to inconvenience one student instead of several.

 

I agree, like if you are experiencing gender dysphoria, you should go get mental help instead of making everyone else conform to your reality.

Again, none of the articles say how long was this person standing alone...keeping in mind this wasn't a real event, it was just a test. You are talking about teachers, who fear the bureaucracy they work for. And have good reasons for it.

 

So now children of the opposite gender have to be separated in an active shooter situation because some bigot parent might get upset. And we can just leave the ones that those parents outside to die. I understand not wanting children to change around each other - even though they did it for centuries without issue - but being segregated when someone is trying to gun them down is just... well, absurd.

Are you kidding me? This was for an active shooter drill. Its not like they were changing clothes or anything. If that is their objection, they should also be objecting that they have a student in the same math class as said trans student.

Yea, you would think in a time of emergency with an armed shooter stalking kids, the last thing they would try to do is separate every one out by sex to make sure they all go to the proper locker room. Unreal.

I already said that I don't see the reason for separating genders in a school shooting. Maybe it is faster that way??? When I went to school, we didn't have shooting, shooting drills, or transgender students. They are having drills and trying to adapt while people like you are calling them bigots, and other concerned parents are asking why they are confining their daughters in a room with a male.

You are good at criticizing and taking cheap shots, how about telling us how you would handle it??

 

I guess they feared which ever bathroom they were sending the person too they were going to be subject to a lawsuit.

 

As I said, I don't understand why they are separated by gender in the first place. I have kids in school and have no objection to them sharing math class with transgender students. I don't think that parents who object to their 9th grade daughter sharing a restroom with a 12th grader with hairy bawls, should be called a bigot.

This is all new. Lets get off their case and give them time to figure it out.

 

I would put children, no matter their gender - race - education - or bs other irrelivant metric y’all are obsessing about, where they would be safe and out of harm. I’m sorry some idiot parents will get upset that little Billy was beside little Patricia during this drill. But idiots will be idiots.

If the parents are worried about molestation they shouldn’t look towards transgenders - they have a fairly low offense rate - and should maybe focus on the football coaches and priests.

 

No, but the Trans folk do have higher suicide rates due to lack of mental treatment. But its not worried of Billy beside Pat, its Pat beside Billy who thinks they are Billie Jean. But hey, since it was just a drill, and not actual events, you can't reasonably believe this is how it would go down IF the low statistic of a school shooting ever happens there.
