Transgenderism is a hot topic, here are my in-depth thoughts on it.

Call yourself whatever you please, just don't expect me to participate in your delusion

 

I'm not saying they are comparable necessarily. I was pointing out that all of us usually socially "polite" even when we know the person is a crack-pot. Therefore, if you can hold your judgment and disdain for <everybody else that is not your cup of tea but not transgender> why are you making an exception against transgender people?

I don't really care for the argument that many of you have about "being forced" to call someone by their stated gender. Nobody is FORCING anybody to do anything and trying to magnify that just makes it seem both disingenuous and "clutch the pearls".

And coddling people in their delusions is how we got to this point where anyone even tries to pretend it's normal.

That which you tolerate.... You will get more of. Just as sure as night follows day.

 

Let's just face the reality. Some males can pull it off much better than others. There are some males who really shouldn't even try.

 

Those who are brutally honest care more about brutality than honesty.

I actually believe that everyone has the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness even if I don't agree with them. I have no interests in getting worked up about everything on the planet. Adulting is already hard. I don't have extra energy for all that. Well, that's not entirely true. When I was younger and had more energy, I still didn't get worked up about what other people were doing. It's not really any of my business.

I'm one of those "live and let live" people. What can I say.

 

I don't get the impression they can see that in themselves. It's confusing because people will say everyone is equal but feel their opinion should carry more weight than anybody else's which is absolutely NOT equality.

I think there is enough hurt and pain in the world. I prefer to use kindness in abundance and, for the ones that make it impossible, I give them a "whole lotta leave alone".

Overall, this thread by @Patricio Da Silva is very well done(though admittedly even I had to skim through it) mostly in that I agree with the general idea he presented and in fact it made me think of deeper things: Humanity in a nutshell is a petri-dish. There's atheists, and deists and everything in between. There's law abiding citizens and criminals, all of whom with their varying personalities that broken down in terms of brain synapses of energy matter would result in a lot of discovery.

The Condition of Humanity is poetic as it is beautiful, and sometimes politics can embrace this beauty but it can also ruthlessly destroy it. If someone believes they are a woman from a psychological prospective, who am I to deny them? But they are not having menstrual cramps, they're not having periods. They are not women biologically, they are not women from a humanoid prospective. They deserve the same equal rights we're entitled to, but they don't deserve special rights to their unique mental outlook on life. Otherwise I do insist on being the First Consul of America!

I don’t get worked up about “what other people are doing”. If you want to be a transgender then do it. I won’t even make fun of you. Just don’t expect me to lie to myself about what they are. I won’t wether it be a public conversation or a private one.

I also get worked up about pervs who claim it’s more their right to undress in front of little girls at a public swimming pool locker room than it’s the right of the mother and daughter to change in a woman’s locker room. This movement makes me sick as far as it has effected other people. I also was once threatened to be sued because I refused to call a trans female a girl. I refused and always will refuse to do that. That individual is married to my brother in law. These people are disgusting in my opinion. Disgusting to the core.

 

Especially male baritones. The vocal chords are really the limiter for female transgenderism. Most males vocals are an octave or more below that of an average female. THe lowest female vocals are that of the contralto, which is about the same as a male contra tenor.

So, and if male that comes to me for advice on transforming to female, I would strongly recommend, with the help of a vocal coach who can find his range on the piano, that his only hope of being a convincing female is that if his vocal singing range ( whether he can sing or not, most males can sing somewhat, even if out of tune ) is in pitch at least that of a contra tenor, because no way will a transfemale ever be convincing of 'she' has a baritone voice. Women's vocals simply do not go that low. If you can find one, she's a freak of nature.

 

What adolescent has been totally satisfied with what nature dealt? We all have challenges in accepting what we are. This is psychology, not surgery. More than that, it is personal. Insisting that all others conform to one's self perception is a symptom of mental disorder.

 

Honestly? Ttand people just want basic human rights. We don’t owe anyone a particular lifestyle or way we look. We just want to be happy same as anyone else.

 

I wish that was true. Some want tax payers to cover the cost of their cosmetic surgery. Others use lawyers to extort money from those not using the preferred pronoun. You don't owe anyone an image, so why should others owe you for unnecessary surgery or a pronoun settlement?

 

And we don't owe deviants respect or acceptance of deviant lifestyles.

 

Because we owe it to ourselves to have access to the same medical procedures that anyone else can qualify for. Do you like going into work with people telling you should always wear uncomfortable clothes even though there are better clothes? Having people doubt something as basic as your gender? Do you like the idea of people discriminating against you for saying “hi my name was x but now it’s y”.?

 

Except for the respect owed to another person simply because they are another person. Who has intrinsic rights and liberties for the fact they are a person.

 

Nobody is owed to anybody because they are a person. Respect has to be earned. I try to be polite to others but respect has to be earned.

 

Did it ever dawn on you being polite is owed to a person because you are respecting them?

Then why force yourselves into female sports and force pronouns. That’s a BS statement
