Troubling poll: American Christians facing more intolerance

…Christians in the United States are not accepting of two of Joe Biden's major agendas for his presidency, the promotion of LGBT lifestyle choices and abortion on demand, because of clear instructions in the Bible on the evils they are.

And they're under attack from those with more leftist ideals.

A new poll from Lifeway Research shows 59% of respondents say Christians "are increasingly confronted with intolerance in America."

The polling was done of 1,005 online respondents during Sept. 3-14, 2021, and factors such as gender, age, region, ethnicity and more were balanced.

The sample error was 3.3 percentage points.

It defined evangelical beliefs by using the NAE Lifeway Research Evangelical Beliefs Research Definition and respondents were asked their level of agreement with four statements, including, "The Bible is the highest authority for what I believe," and "Only those who trust in Jesus Christ alone as their Savior receive God's free gift of eternal salvation."

On the question of intolerance in America, 24% strongly agreed that Christians are facing more and more, and 35% "somewhat" agreed that is happening.

Is Christian persecution on the rise in America?

Only 23% disagreed.

And about 54% said religious liberty in American is declining, including 24% who strongly agree and 29% who somewhat agree….

The hatred toward and intolerance of Bible believing Christianity and Christians in secular American circles is growing exponentially. The bi coastal progressive urban elites are eager to trample upon and minimize the free exercise there of clause rights of other Americans. The depths of their bigotry, intolerance, and hatred toward believers and the God we worship and obey knows few if any boundaries.

 

We must be on guard to stand up for and protect religious liberty and freedom of conscience in this country. Christians must be protected from the hate and bigotry toward us and what we believe that the secular progressive left would do to us if they could

That is not true. I believe that all of any religion who live their lives according to the best information or light that they have been exposed to will be saved and that the blood of Jesus on the cross is sufficient to save all who live accordingly. The issue here is with people who are exposed to greater light and then knowingly reject it. The other error of yours is that I do not believe in an eternally burning hell. The effects of it are eternal separation from God and never living again but it is a consuming fire that will kill the souls of all with in it while turning them to ash then the fire goes out and the earth is recreated new upon the ashes of it. God does not burn and torture people alive for all eternity for the mistakes of a life time.
