Any fellow Canadians here following the upcoming (likely) election? Who's your guy this time around? I'm leaning PC because O'Toole is outspokenly in favour of CANZUK.
Its so funny. Only in Canada does this happen.... All the candidates for parties not in power, are saying there is no need for an election right now, and only Trudeau, already in power, insists on it.
Trudeau thinks he can win a majority vote in Parliament, i.e., get the most seats. Let me say this. I am a stereotype Canadian. We are by far most of us smack in the middle. We are not left or right. We tend to lean to the left on social and medical programs and gun control as you Americans would say but to the right on fiscal spending. So the division between our Liberal party which some liken to the Democrats and Conservative Party (some liken to Republicans) is not push come to shove that much different. We do have a New Democratic Party which claims to be like the British Labour Party but it has ceased to have any real meaning with unions because its leader and many of its followers are no longer unionized blue collar workers and in fact are no different than the left wing of the Liberal Party. Trudeau has committed numerous and serious conflicts of interest and ethical violations that in Britain or the US would have had him removed from office. In Canada people vote him back in like complacent sloths. Well our opposition party is currently is run by a half toad, half man named O'Toole. Some say the name is appropriate. Think Elmer Fudd. During Covid 19 Trudeauhad major screw ups. He also faces a lot of backlash over Canadians being held hostage in China over the extradition issue with Hua Wei that he has allowed to drag on 3 years caused by his own blunders. He also had over a year to extract Afghanis that helped the Canadian Armed Forces who were stationed there knowing the US was pulling out, but did nothing. So now people who worked as our translators, cooks, support staff face death at the hands of the Taliban and our Prime Minister does what he does NOTHING. I could go on and on but the bottom line is he is a phack up but he will be re-elected with a minority because people want handouts during Covid 19 and he promises all kinds of them. He plays this game of pretending to give handouts but as soon as he gives them, he also increases taxes to pay for them so its a joke. Me I do not care who you are but if you run for government please speak clearly in our official languages and hopefully have some kind of business, fiscal or management experience and don't waste money gawd damn it. I would consider running but I am mentally unstable... I have no filter. Lol. If Trudeau comes anywhere near me election time I will tell him to phack himself. (like he doesn't know how to already) Bah.
Trudeau wins another minority government. So he called an early election in the middle of a pandemic, and nothing changed.
