The entire world is sinking into recession and sooner or later this is going to affect everyone here in the US as well. The indications of this are apparent in Trump's desperate attempts to cajole the Fed Chair Powell to lower interest rates to zero and even to minus zero. That's his desperate effort to resurrect what appears to be a doomed economy, and it's not going to work.

There's no peace "all over the world". What shell have you been hiding under? The most recent being the fact that Saudi oil fields are massively on fire, due to 'drone strikes' as they claim. The fact is, they're setting those fires themselves but they'll blame Iran for it. The price of oil is too low and the Saudis aren't getting as rich lately as they're accustomed to. The only way to raise the price of oil is to destroy the source of oil, in those Saudi oil reserves.

You really should try to open up your mind and understand what's really going on globally and use some critical thinking. Remember what Trump said 'don't believe what you hear, don't believe what you read'. In this case, he's 100% right.

 

A lot of people supported Hitler in the 30’s. Pro union people tended to support the USSR in its early stages. The US labor movement was in its early stages and the memories of the Homestead strike was fresh in their minds. Most of those accused of being commies in the 50s were fighting the good fight against scumbags like Carnegie, Frick, Peabody and others who were filthy rich and did not want to pay a living wage to those who made them rich. I am a native Pittsburgher and I have always been for the working man when it comes to collective bargaining and workplace safety. I do not equate those who organized to commie spies. The Houthis struck the Saudi oil facilities and immediately claimed responsibility for it. And no one in Iran is has denied that such an attack has taken place, even if Iran will deny supplying the Houthis with the drones.

 

Ask yourself this question, How are drones able to be penetrated deep into Saudi airspace and hit such a strategic facility at Abqaiq and Khurais? As I've just mentioned in a previous comment,

They also have radar that can detect threats more than 150km away, and they should be able to detect drones. There are questions about how drones from Houthi rebel-held areas in Yemen could actually reach the area near Bahrain. It appears more likely they were launched from somewhere else. That leads to question about why air defense didn’t intercept them or at least raise an alert. Video from Saudi Arabia allegedly includes sounds of gunfire against the drones. Gunfire at night against drones is not effective. In addition another video allegedly from Kuwait includes the noise of a “drone” passing over, although the sound appears more like a jet engine of a an aircraft, not a UAV.

I see a conspiracy between the Saudis and the US to get oil prices ballooned. Plus, Trump and Bibi are absolutely foaming at the mouth to bomb Iran.

 

In this case, you were off...The Houthis carried out the attack and its not the first time their drones have penetrated deep into Saudi airspace. These drones are capable of evading detection. Otherwise, they would be useless. Iran and Hezbollah operate such drones, and more sophisticated ones too, regularly to collect reconnaissance data from all over the region, including deep into Israeli airspace as well as elsewhere on top of US aircraft carriers etc. You only hear about the few occasions when they are shut down.

 

There is something very funny about saying that the Republicans have principles! And it’s even funnier when you think that the Republicans try to keep things civilized. I grew up in the Valley too and though I wouldn’t consider it a paradise it was pretty nice. It’s different now, but not because of leftists or rightists. It just has 4 times the population it had when I got there in 1964. There are still a lot of great neighborhoods in the valley and a lot of nice people but it’s sure getting pretty crowded and the traffic is bad too. Are you suggesting that all of the developers who built up Simi Valley, Santa Clarita and the rest of the Valley were leftists? Come on man, that’s silly.

As for me, I still live here and I am grateful and happy as hell to be a part of it. My son just took me and my 10 year old grandson to the Rose Bowl a couple weeks ago to see The Rolling Stones. I’m going to see Van Morrison next month at the Bowl. I can ski, golf and surf on the same day in the winter time. I drive all over LA County every week and it’s looking better all the time. Like any major population center with great weather we have a lot of homeless people here but there are several groups made up of both liberals and real conservatives working on solutions as we speak. We have great beaches, great mountain hiking trails surrounding our city on every side, great medical facilities, great restaraunts, great nightclubs, great music venues, great Universities, great art museums, the most beautiful women in the world and opportunities are unlimited for those who go out and seize them instead of sitting behind their computer screen whining about liberals all day. Get a grip champ, your missing the show.
