    Folks, every x-president would have awarded themselves a good rating.

    Politicians have a tendency of inflating the good, minimizing the bad.

    However, in Trump’s case, he gave himself a failing grade in public relations, and public relation is about sharing the right information.

    Thus, we should be debating Trump’s self-confessed failing grade.

    There are several reasons why Trump gave himself a failing grade in public relations;

    1. Several times in this forum, I’ve explained the psychological reason why Trump downplayed Covid19.

    1. Same reason why my wife and I have repeatedly warned her lady friend about her new boyfriend who was locally known as a con man. However, like Trump who was madly in-love with his baby economy, she denied/rejected/ignored the negativities.

    Trump; “I didn’t want to create a panic”

    Main reason; In an effort to protect his record high markets/healthy baby economy.

    Do you have any statistics on this particular issue?

    When I cast my eye over Trump rallies and anecdotally from conservative American friends about half of them don't bother with masks or cut corners

    you mean were the rioters following Trump lead.. yes, I think Criminals followed trump lead or at least did the same as Trump would recommend

    if criminals do not wear masks, does that mean no one should?

    the Trump shutdown helped (little late), but lying to the public early on and his lack of push for masks and social distancing after have hurt us

    had Trump got his way, like packing churches, ect... imagine where we would be

    it's the ones wearing masks and social distancing that have kept the numbers down, not Trump

    the 2,000,000 number was if we did nothing like Trump wanted early on.... thankfully many people have not listened to Trump

    Thankfully we don't have to find out as my state has avoided lockdowns and mask mandates with hard interstate borders and regional borders within the state.

    We had them within the state when we had cases, we still have them interstate, and internationally.

    I haven't seen anyone social distance for months. All businesses are open.

    Strangely enough, the Federal government has been pretty deferential to the states on this. I think they've righly figured out that a one size fits all solution doesn't work for every area.
