The governor of Indiana (not Trump) is giving Carrier a $7 million tax break. What a piker! Jerry Brown says "I'll see your $7 million and raise you$743 million. http://www.latimes.com/business/la-fi-capitol-business-beat-20140512-story.html

When you find a state that has never offered tax breaks to keep or attract business, let me know.

love it that the libs are (*)(*)(*)(*)(*)in about this, let them marginalize themselves even more than they already have. Wonder if any democrats at that plant as well as at other factories will remember this and vote GOP next midterms. That is what really has the libs in a hissy fit, they threw away the working class while concentrating on who gets to use which bathroom and now they are regretting it

Hilary wasn't for NAFTA, and she was all for those very things I pointed out. That's why Trump was/is the bad choice. He's trying to hold onto twentieth century ideas, while the rest of the developed world leaps way ahead. Not to mention, we sold manufacturing out when we put in Reaganomics. It's time we look to the future. We are decades behind the rest of the developed world.

:wall::wall::wall: You people never get it do you? Jerry Brown gave tax cuts not because he wanted to, while Trump did it because he did. That's the big difference in this thing we call Capitalism, that no longer exists because of Reaganomics. We, the American people shouldn't be giving companies big tax cuts. After the thirties, when Roosevelt rescued us from this same disaster by turning the country over to Capitalism, Companies got a small tax cut, made a profit, and the middle class whites flourished in this country for several decades. And that's the way it should be today. Where everyone participates in this thing we used to call Capitalism. But then something wicked happened. We introduced Reaganomics where companies got huge tax breaks and workers got stagnant wages, and it's been like that ever since. Folks like Obama and Jerry Brown don't want that any more than they want a tooth ache. If they had it there way, they'd go back to better times for the middle class where Capitalism actually worked for everyone. But the bought and paid for Republicans who are owned by the Koch brothers want for corporations to own Capitalism. They want Oligarchy. Why is this so hard for you people to understand ?

are you insane or just never been anywhere outside the US for anything other than a whirlwind tour ? Visiting foreign countries is fun, living there is another story. Been there done that. There is a reason that everyone wants to emigrate to the USA. Now if I could afford a second home in Barcelona or Bologna.........

high speed rail is a nice novelty but just a very expensive way to get from point A to Point B. Ever look up the ticket prices on those things ? you can fly for half the price

however if you have a month or so to kill in Europe the Eurorail is a bargain and a great way to travel as long as you are not in a hurry
