commander in chief of military sure, but law come on, did he learn that from Xi or putin. there is a reason we have separate judicial system. so he just decide who goes free or not base on his feeling about the person.

He is the chief of all federal law enforcement agencies. It is what it is.

except he intervene the judicial process and then claim he is the chief of law. he basically get his buddy a jail free card, so now any buddy of his know they don't have to worry about retribution when lying during congress hearing.

The judicial branch does not enforce the laws - the executive branch does.
    Civics 101, please.

He didn't intervene. He expressed that he thought the sentence recommendation was too harsh. Everyone else, including the judge, agreed with him.

I haven't seen anything like that. You invented that scenario. But I should mention that the president has the power to exonerate any criminal at any time for any reason. He pardoned a few just last week. I believe Obama pardoned more than 200. All presidents have this power.

As a citizen of the UK l find the whole spectacle of US presidential pardons outrageous. Don Trumpleoni has released a bunch of criminals convicted by their own peers and in accordance to the laws of the state. How does this type of intervention not undermine your judicial system of law and order. Were any shoplifters pardoned? In the UK to get a pardon you basically have to be INNOCENT, to get clemency you have earn it. Crook pardoning crooks thats gotta be nuts.

If I were President of the United States, I for one would not had pardoned any of them. Not even the Houston Astros if it were up to Trump to pardon them. Criminals should serve their time no matter what. Was there any good reason for all of this. I don't think Trump would make a good sheriff in Mayberry:razz:
