    There are a lot of conservatives who agree about this. Who can we trust? I like Judge Napolitano, who doesn't think Kavanaugh likes the 4th, much. He also calls Kavanaugh a swamp creature.

    Okay, that's a reasonable view, and I personally have a lot of respect for Napolitano.

    The modern world has made the whole security-vs-liberty thing very tricky. And our intervene-everywhere foreign policy has exacerbated the problem, by multiplying the numbers of people who hate us, and who might want to undertake actions against us that, in turn, justify expanding the National Security State. I don't have any answer on this.

    The Supreme Court has never been a perfect guardian of our liberties, unfortunately. Ask the people who were jailed for opposing WWI, and WWII, and for their political ideas only after WWII ... but in the long run, they have tended to correct past mistakes. We have to hope they will in future.

    Since you are having trouble once again with basic law let me walk you through it.


    The term “sexual assault” means any nonconsensual sexual act proscribed by Federal, tribal, or State law, including when the victim lacks capacity to consent.


    Clearly Stewart Smalley committed a sexual act on a woman without her consent. He didn't have to touch her to commit the crime and the evidence is the photo and her state of unconsciousness.

    You really should have looked at the law before responding.

    It's a typical BS message from President BS, but he's not completely wrong here.... Franken should have insisted on an Ethics committee hearing, as he was entitled to... He let a lot of amateur politicians (I'm talking to YOU, Gillibrand) essentially force him out.

    Will be seen in the neat future as almost as big a travesty of justice as Kavanaugh getting voted in... almost

    She was consenting, and telling him where it needed to stop. If she allowed it to continue, then she consented.

    Their is no comparison between what Mrs Ford accused happened, and what Booker wrote about. One was consensual, the other was not. It’s that simple. But you make it about whatever you want.
