I'd clarify that with the powers that the unelected officials in the executive branch have.

All the right wants is a judge that abides by the Constitution and the law.

The left wants feelings to override black and white law.

Nowhere is that more clear than the liberal judges attack on the travel ban.

The liberal judges argued that because his constitutional power might be affected by prejudice, it was unconstitutional.

There is nothing more of a betrayal to the law or the Constitution than that.

His personal feelings or biases are irrelevant to the law and the Constitution, especially when he didn't even come up with the list of countries.

    Trump has always been reasonable.

One side is clutching its pearls.

    Try and guess which one.

Who was an admitted or accused felon that Trump then hired?

Well tell that to the Democrats they said perjury and obstruction of justice can wait. Now they are demanding a justice who will say otherwise because they want to remove Trump on an obstruction of justice charge. Thatbis why therebis an impeachment process. That is why Starr did not go to trial with Clinton while he was in office.

Apparently you are not a US citizen and do not understand our government. We are NOT a democracy. Our Constitution guaranties we are not and will never be a democracy. We learn here early on, at least we did the past before the liberal establishment took over public education we are a federal republic. We also learn of the various balance of powers designed into our federal government which in this case the President nominates and the Senate confirms.

So what exactly is this inherient danger of which you speak?
And are not your justices to your High Court selected in a similar manner?

Ah, it begins; Kavanaugh is a Catholic! Worse, he coaches his daughter's Catholic school basketball team, is a member of his church's parish council!! He's white, male, heterosexual, married and the father of two.

He's got some interesting decisions on Obamacare, abortion, free speech, the CPFB, 2nd Amendment... anyone found any analysis of his decisions yet? I know he is frequently cited by other lawyers and that he has been upheld on appeal by the Supreme Court. This is a very well qualified candidate.

Don't forget this is also the guy who helped keep the ACA Mandate alive, and has ruled for the EPA on a few occasions as well.

If law was black and white, you wouldn't need judges. Especially the constitution which is and will continue to be heavily debated regarding it's wordage.

pppppthhhhhhh Trump is a man-child who got where he is because of other people. Money from dad, Lawyers to fight broken contracts, and a terrible opponent in the General.

The law is black and white when it comes to who the POTUS can deny immigration status. Any and ALL classes of aliens.

Regardless, as I said, the liberal judges ruled on the intent of his possible prejudices, and prior rulings against the ban didn't even ADDRESS the applicable law.

Trump did a good job of humanizing Kavanaugh.

Im going to try and look at his case history and rulings as well.

What Trump appears to have done, is pick a candidate that its going to be a reasonable choice-and perhaps unreasonable to oppose.

He just appointed a moderate. He could have nominated Ted Cruz.

eh. Marrick Garland was/is a Moderate. Brett is a Conservative. Just because he isn't a nutcase Con doesn't mean he is a moderate. He is definitely a better choice then many, but from the sounds of it, the choice was more Kennedy then Trump

Then there is all the conspiracy fun with Kennedys Son who was part of the Deutsh Bank that just got linked to 'up to' billion dollar loans to Trump that might get caught up in the Mueller Investigation for money laundering. Nothing proven on that front but Trump and 'coincidence' seem to go hand in hand when it comes to that stuff.

Yet it serves to highlight how bad leftist judicial activism has become, and explains the mouth frothing frenzy of leftists at the thought of not having SCOTUS as the ultimate rubber stamp for their agenda.

Your comment shouldn't make anyone feel better, it should wake them up.

Do you believe the Mueller thing is going substantively change things in November?
