Agree, Trump has basically nothing to show for all his bluster on the International stage unless of course diminishing America's prestige and credability was his goal in which case he is a massive success.

Trump's goal is to be the star. Why else have two useless summits with Kim and a Neville Chamberlain-like visit to North Korea? Why else have a comedy routine with Putin? Why else make a treasonous comment in Helsinki, rejecting American intelligence and accepting Putin's word because he was sincere?

Nothing was accomplished, but in each case there is a major controversy and in each case Trump is at the center of it. He is the star. The fact that he pisses off everyone on the planet but his small base adds to his satisfaction.

Trump does not want to share the stage with the state department, Pentagon, or DHS. He must be at the center of everything.

Trump does not want to share the stage with the state department, Pentagon, or DHS. He must be at the center of everything.

For over a year Trump provoked Iran, daring them to react in anger. Iran did exactly that, shooting down a very sophisticated American surveillance aircraft. Trump imposed meaningless economic sanctions on Iran's leaders, then went completely silent.

The Iranian crisis has deepened severely. Iran has gone past the amount of uranium enrichment in the JCPOA. Iran has gone past the level of uranium enrichment in the JCPOA. Britain seized and Iranian tanker bound for Syria. Iran tried to seize a British tanker.

The Iranian crisis is getting out of hand.

North Korea will maintain its nuclear arsenal for the next two decades and the United States' insistence on its rapid disarmament is an "unrealistic goal," according to a report by the Federation of American Scientists presented in Seoul on Friday.

What is the President of the United States doing? He is concentrating on illegal immigration and the difficulties at our southern border. He wants ICE pick up 2,000 illegal immigrants in the U.S. He is busy insulting Joe Biden and Paul Ryan while praising Nancy Pelosi. He is busy accusing Robert Mueller of deleting love texts from two lovebirds in his report.

There is more, but the reader gets the point. Trump has lost control of the Iranian and the North Korean situations, so he and his entire administration simply ignores the two extremely serious problem areas. He is concentrating on illegal immigration because that is what turns on his small base.

A huge portion of our population is not the least bit concerned about illegal immigration. That is problem that affects the people living along our southern border with Mexico.

One of the key signs of a totally inept manager. And of course also his remarkable inability to delegate.

Trump tweeted this morning, “So interesting to see ‘Progressive’ Democrat Congresswomen, who originally came from countries whose governments are a complete and total catastrophe. Why don’t they go back and help fix the totally broken and crime infested places from which they came."

What the hell is he talking about? Wow! He is really losing it. I know he acts like an idiot to draw attention to himself, but this is ridiculous.

Trump appears to have a mental problem.

I usually ignore the radical left wing represented by beginners, but this example of enormous stupidity on the part of our President caught my attention.

I wish we could get some of Trump's supporters to give us some input on this thread, but they have given up. They know a lost cause when they see one.

Another poster wrote that it was beyond his comprehension why Trump's multiple scandals, displays of incompetence, examples of corruption, evidence of criminal behavior, boorish, juvenile behavior make absolutely no difference to Trump supporters.

The answer lies in the fact that a small minority of American voters -- 27% of the electorate -- voted for Trump because of those factors.

They for voted someone whose character was much like themselves in nearly every respect, including intellectual capabilities.

Because of apathy, Americans made a huge mistake in November 2016. Too many Americans allowed others to make an important decision for them -- the Presidency -- and the result has been a disaster. We cannot allow that to happen again.

With their cartoons, simple jokes, and wisecracks that evade what Trump actually does and says, Trump's supporters offer substantial proof on various threads to prove my point. Ironically, their favorite threads have little or nothing to do with Trump.

Trump supporters, their silence is deafening. Some of us are tearing apart their hero by simply telling the truth and they say nothing. They are very strange.

Most of us defend our political views. Not Trump's fans, and it is not just this thread.

Trump lives in a world all his own OR he makes really outrageous statements because he thinks his base will accept them. They usually do.

"Not only didn't I back down, I backed up," Trump said on Friday to his gullible base.

Trump went on to argue that his new plan to get the information from federal agencies instead is "actually better" and that it will be "more accurate" this way, declaring that only the "fake news" would object to this characterization.

Not only the "fake news," but also the United States Constitution, a document Trump is totally unfamiliar with.

Trump also forgot the reasons he himself stated for wanting the citizenship question on the census.

Trump told eager reporters that the citizen/noncitizen information is necessary to help legislators draw district lines “based upon the voter-eligible population,” as opposed to the broader population that includes people not eligible to vote, as is now done.

Trump directly linked the battle for the citizenship question to an effort to empower states to draw lines in a way that would further tilt power to the GOP..

However, Article I, Section 2 of the United States Constitution states: “Representatives and direct Taxes shall be apportioned among the several States according to their respective Numbers." This will be determined by "counting the whole number of persons in each State."

Trump's new method will not be "actually better" because his entire purpose for the question has now been voided.

Trump has a distinct problem with reality. He did, indeed, back down, but he will never admit it.

He is a classic narcissist. I know this well because I have a close family member that is a narcissist as well. Everything they do is to benefit themselves, even when they are praising you.

It makes me sad that I cannot let my guard down around this family member, but whenever I do they use it to belittle me to other family members or other people.

In closing these people deserve to die a lonely death and to hell with them.

Trump resumed his attack on the "squad" today. "If you are not happy, if you are complaining all the time, you can leave," he told a heated news conference outside the White House. "These are people that in my opinion hate our country," Trump told reporters.

Why is he doing this? The answer is obvious.

The Iran problem is getting worse, a problem he created. Trump is hoping the Europeans can solve the problem.

Despite two summits and Chamberlain-like visit to North Korea, we are no closer to denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula than we were two years ago.

Last week Trump was forced to back down on the citizenship question on the census, a fight he was fated to lose from the beginning.

Mass deportation arrests that were expected Sunday largely didn’t happen.

Acting Customs & Border Protection Commissioner Mark Morgan said he believes the ICE raids which started over the weekend in a number of U.S. cities have been "overhyped" and "over-politicized."

"Next week ICE will begin the process of removing the millions of illegal aliens who have illicitly found their way into the United States," Trump said four weeks ago.

Mueller is scheduled to testify before two House committees next week. The former special counsel will repeat that Justice Department policy kept him from laying out federal criminal charges against a sitting President, and that it is now up to Congress to hold the President responsible?

We know of more than two dozen meetings between Trump campaign figures and Russians. Mueller will detail how the President tried to fire the special counsel and made several other efforts to derail the investigation.

All of this will take place before a live television audience to be seen by millions. A.G. William Barr said it would be a political spectacle. He was right about that.

So, Trump wants to change the subject. What better way than to make a complete fool of himself by attacking four female junior members of Congress. To divert attention from important matters to which he is failing miserably, making himself look like an idiot is a time-tested tactic.

Just how big a fool is Trump? For weeks the radical left represented by Democratic Reps. Ayanna Pressley (Mass.), Rashida Tlaib (Mich.), Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (N.Y.) and Ilhan Omar (Minn.) were doing all they could to divide the Democratic Party. They were pretty much ensuring that Trump would win in 2020 because of the division in the party. Democrats were actually warring against themselves instead of attacking Trump.

That all changed with Trump's racist and xenophobic remarks. Trump caused the Democratic Party to join together in a united front to assail the person they should be attacking instead of themselves, Donald J. Trump.

Nancy Pelosi, who last week was forced to lecture the "squad," is now defending the four Congresswomen and thanking Trump for his contribution to the Democratic cause.

The fourth, Ilhan Omar (Minn.), came here as a child, a refugee from Somalia. She has been a citizen longer than the First Lady.

    Where are Trump's supporters?

Does Trump have a hidden agenda?

Trump has changed parties many times, but he mostly identifies himself as a Democrat. In a 2004 interview, Trump told CNN's Wolf Blitzer: "In many cases, I probably identify more as Democrat," explaining: "It just seems that the economy does better under the Democrats than the Republicans."

The GOP leadership always goes along with Trump, even when he is weakening the powers of Congress. The GOP leadership remains silent concerning Trump's racist and xenophobic remarks today and yesterday.

This causes one to speculate. Is Trump attempting to destroy the Republican Party? He did a lot of damage to the party in the 2018 election. His controversial remarks and failures have increased since that election, and the GOP is headed for defeat in 2020 mainly because of the party's leadership.

The obligatory handful of Congressional Republicans spoke out against Trump's racist and xenophobic remarks. The GOP leadership in the House and the Senate, however, are totally silent, and nothing will be done. No warnings to the President, no censure for his extremely un-presidential bigoted statements.

By their silence, the vast majority of Republicans in Congress approve of Trump's remarks.

For a card-carrying member of the Republican Party, the President's remarks and the lack of response from the leadership is very disheartening. Of course, like many moderate conservatives, the GOP abandoned me when ti nominated an imperialist to be President. I didn't abandon it.

With Putin as his patron, Trump is acting very much like a Russian agent. He is making a mockery of the Office of the President, and it is obvious that he is racist and xenophobic. He is friendly with communist dictators while vexing our allies and weakening NATO, Putin's number one enemy.

Still, Trump should not be impeached. Why? First, it would be an exercise in futility. Obviously, Trump Republicans in the Senate always go along with what Trump says and does even when Trump is weakening the powers of the Senate. No way will they convict Trump in a Senate trial, and Trump could become a martyr, Good Lord. Trump wants to be impeached. He is trying to be impeached. It is his only chance in 2020.

So, secondly, let Trump hang himself along with the Republican Party that supports him no matter what. The past three days prove that without a doubt. The way Trump is going he is so weakening himself, his administration, and his party, the Republicans may not regain the Oval Office for a generation. Don't impeach. When the other side is going out of its way to destroy itself, don't interfere.

We all know Trump is buffoon. Even his fans who are completely frustrated trying to defend him know this. So, he can't do anymore harm. Nobody takes seriously what he says. We just have to weather through the next 16 1/2 months. With Trump entertaining us with his moronic remarks, it will go by fast.

Those statements were made by the President of the United States, a man whose Constitutional duty is to unite the country, but he is bent on dividing the country with his racist and incendiary comments.

Trump proved his commitment to dividing our country today. “Well, let's put it this way,” Trump said in an interview with DailyMail.com “I’m not unhappy.” Translating the double negative, Trump said he was happy with the comments he made that started the swirling controversy.

Later, Trump confirmed his happiness with reporters. “I’m not relishing the fight, I’m enjoying it because I have to get the word out to the American people,” Trump said. The sentence doesn't make much sense because the English language has always been a challenge for Trump, but he said he was enjoying the divisiveness he caused with his racist comments.

When a man doubles down, then triples down, then quadruples down on racist statements he made, it has to dawn on even the most uninformed of us that the man is a racist.

Why is Trump doing this? The answer is obvious. Trump needs to mask his failures.

Trump has done nothing for the economy except threaten it with his harsh tariffs and trade wars. Fortunately, our robust economy is so strong ti simply ignores Trump and marches on to greater successes.

Trump has done about our crumbling infrastructure despite his many promises.

Trump has done nothing about health care despite his many promises. “We’re going to have insurance for everybody. There was a philosophy in some circles that if you can’t pay for it, you don’t get it. That’s not going to happen with us.”

Instead of getting better with all his promises and threats, the illegal immigration problem has gotten worse on his watch.

"Next week ICE will begin the process of removing the millions of illegal aliens who have illicitly found their way into the United States," Trump said four weeks ago. The mass deportation arrests that were expected didn’t happen.

Belief in the imperial Presidency has caused Trump to challenged the powers of the other two co-equal branches.

The Iran problem is getting worse, a problem he created. Trump is hoping the Europeans can solve the problem. He is ignoring it.

Despite two summits and Chamberlain-like visit to North Korea, we are no closer to denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula than we were two years ago. North Korea has threatened to resume nuclear testing.

Trump was forced to back down on the citizenship question on the census, a fight he was fated to lose from the beginning.

If you were Trump, wouldn't you want to change the subject? What better way than to make a complete fool of yourself by attacking four black female junior members of Congress and pretending they speak for the Democratic Party leadership and Presidential candidates? To divert attention from important matters to which he is failing miserably, making himself look like an idiot is a time-honored method for Trump.

Want proof of that statement? Check out his statements in the last four days. That is all he is talking about, while his adoring admirers are cheering madly.
