The stupid economic term would explain to you why that hundred k figure I cited earlier is not only a good approximation it's probably it's probably on the low side. Minimum wage is inherently inflationary, attaching adjust to minimum wage to the inflation rate it helps to produce would have a really nasty multiplier effect which would put us on the same inflationary spiral as the Weimar Republic in the late 20's earlier 30 's or the current Venezuela and Zimbabwe.

So they've had it for five. We've had one for sixty. During that time it's gone from 25 cents an hour to 15 dollars an hour in some places. The grand result is that a loaf of bread has gone from a nickel to 2.50. by the time that 15 an hour is nation wide it'll probably be closer to 4. The first rule of reality is that if you want to get out of the hole the first step is to stop digging.

 

That's inflation and has nothing to do with the minimum wage. Or at least very little in comparison to what some people believe.

 

The real story is that we don't have cheap education and training for tech jobs like Germany and other modern countries. It's killing the Non rich. And we used to before Reagan got started....

 

BS of course you increase costs you increase price. You inflate wages you inflate prices. They are joined unavoidably at the hip.

 

Again Reagan had nothing to do it. We still have reletively cheap training for nursing and other tech jobs. But that training does not occur in our universities but in numerous trade schools about the country many of which the government and their higher ed buddies are busy trying to put out of business.
