The law banning abortion IMO was unconstitutional - therefore the court is acting correctly - doing its job by getting rid of bad law.

Full Power ? This is not a black and white issue. What is "Full Power" - this would be an authoritarian dictatorship will total control. We are obviously not there. What is perhaps shocking however, is that many of the factors that proceeded these authoritarian regimes are now in play.

While I'm no big fan of the SCOTUS, I do see the need for it. Decisions they make are interpretations of the constitution. The problem is they mostly vote down party lines. Legal issues will continue to surface that involve things that the constitution doesn't mention. That's why it was written in a way that can be interpreted, hence the need for the SCOTUS.

 

Any power granted with good intentions can be abused
