Optimum CO2 level for plant growth is irrelevant because CO2 causes a whole host of other side-effects (climate change being one of them) that results in destruction of plants. The world is not a greenhouse where you can control insects, fire, drought, etc.

The minimum level for plant growth is also irrelevant because there is zero indication that we are anywhere near that point or even trending downwards.

Yes, I know how high CO2 levels have been in the past. The last time that the CO2 concentration was as high as it is currently was approximately 3 million years ago. I do not want to live in that climate, nor should you. And even more important that the total concentration of CO2 in the past is the rate of change compared to the natural rate of change for that concentration. The last time that CO2 rose by 80 points (the amount it rose from 1900 to 2000), took about 5000 years.

And no, it is not courage to personally act like a technological hermit or to even live your life with as minimal amount of climate impact as possible. It is a thinly veiled effort to dismiss someone's argument because they do not act according to your interpretation of how they should operate under your perception of their argument. It is a logical fallacy to dismiss someone's behavior because they are being hypocritical.

And yes, your local environment is much better than it was 70 years ago. The environment for the planet is rapidly getting worse.
