Liberals have lost the plot.It appears that Trump derangement syndrome is a real condition.Trump states a simple fact that oceans are small in comparison to the atmosphere-they go ballistic,China and India are the biggest air polluters in history of the world-he calls them out, liberals go bananas etc...Beggars belief.By trying to ridicule him in this thread for stating real facts they just made complete idiots of themselves.Well done.

You don’t understand how the oceans and atmosphere can affect climate change??

And it's only the U.S. industries. It didn't make anyone else rich and powerful. You know what? I read somewhere that most folks have an IQ around 90. I refused to believe it. I don't know any more.

Combine that with arrogance and no humility, and you have a disaster in the making.

I think it is safe to say that the person making this comment is purposefully ignorant and mentally damaged in some way.

Many people with such problems do not know they have them, because they have them. Trump also has narcissism as a primary personality trait which compounds the resulting mentality.

I do. And in that context, the oceans are not small. In the context of climate change, they are massive compared with the atmosphere.

Literally - much more massive and the ability to absorb much more heat.

I guess something to do with him beating all those Rrpublicans in primaries and yhrn comprehensively beating and totally outsmarting the most qualified candidate of all times according to the liberal media. The candidate who was supported by CIS,FBI, the entire mainstream media, the Hollywood, the money etc....and thr idiot you painted him to be somehow outsmarted you all. What does that tell about your own intelligence then?

Conning people is not the same as outsmarting someone.

Here is the full transcript from the WaPo interview this word salad came from:

    https://www.washingtonpost.com/poli...-transcript-annotated/?utm_term=.5bbf669bb592

"TRUMP: One of the problems that a lot of people like myself — we have very high levels of intelligence, but we’re not necessarily such believers. You look at our air and our water, and it’s right now at a record clean. But when you look at China and you look at parts of Asia and when you look at South America, and when you look at many other places in this world, including Russia, including — just many other places — the air is incredibly dirty. And when you’re talking about an atmosphere, oceans are very small. And it blows over and it sails over. I mean, we take thousands of tons of garbage off our beaches all the time that comes over from Asia. It just flows right down the Pacific, it flows, and we say where does this come from. And it takes many people to start off with. Number two, if you go back and if you look at articles, they talked about global freezing, they talked about at some point the planets could have freeze to death, then it’s going to die of heat exhaustion. There is movement in the atmosphere. There’s no question. As to whether or not it’s man-made and whether or not the effects that you’re talking about are there, I don’t see it — not nearly like it is. Do we want clean water? Absolutely. Do we want clean air to breathe? Absolutely. The fire in California, where I was, if you looked at the floor, the floor of the fire, they have trees that were fallen, they did no forest management, no forest maintenance, and you can light — you can take a match like this and light a tree trunk when that thing is laying there for more than 14 or 15 months. And it’s a massive problem in California"

    Take away points:

    1) This is word salad that is not befitting of a president.
    2) Volume wise, the atmosphere is, in fact, larger than the oceans. That doesn't make the oceans very small.
    3) It is very clear that Trump only believes in what he sees with his own eyes. Since you cannot "see" CO2, it is a non-issue for him.
    4) It is also clear that he thinks that Asia is the biggest polluter. Per capita, this is not the case, the US has about double the CO2 emissions compared to China, and by far the highest energy consumption per capita in the developed world. If you sit in the glasshouse, you shouldn't throw stones. Of course, Trump knows that "China bad" is something that his supporters lap up without question.

But it’s the massive atmosphere that will keep the heat from escaping, and the onzone layer that limits what gets in. You obviously don’t know much about climate change

    :roflol::roflol::roflol::roflol::roflol::roflol::roflol:

If that is the level of your understanding there is no point in carrying on discussion with you. You don't even understand the subject enough to know how little you know.

The oceans can absorb all the heat, but When greenhouse gases will not allow heat to escape through the atmosphere...you are in trouble. Nice deflection though, you really aren’t up on the basic science of climate change

If the oceans were bigger we wouldn't need to rake the forests.....

Can you provide a link to your Trump translator? You know... The one that you use to say this is what he said, but this is really what he meant.

And what exactly does ozone have to do with climate change?

The oceans do indeed absorb heat but clearly not ALL as that is impossible Greenhouse layering in our atmosphere will reflect and absorb much heat but certain radiation wavelengths are unaffected and your simplification of the complexity does little for your claims of ignorance in others.

Oh it’s complex, but I was the first insulted. The bottom line, as the president said the atmosphere is much larger of an impact then the oceans

This thread has become an epic fail

Trump deranged liberals once again get caught taking what Trump says out of context to push a false narrative
and once their dishonesty is called out and exposed They go to perform their little tap dance "well doesn't matter we were caught again being dishonest he is still stupid" it so entertaining

Increased ultraviolet radiation from the sun which has a massive impact on the environment, which in turn has massive effects on climate. This of course is just one example of the massive impact the atmosphere has on Climate change

still being dishonest purposely taking his words out of context to push your false narrative

And when you’re talking about an atmosphere, oceans are very small

yes the oceans are small compared to the atmosphere

Regardless of your attempted spin, Trump said what he said and the climate system as well as the parts of it do what they do. You do not present a compelling arguments on either front.
