Trump picked the wrong audience

When does the free press hold the Republicans accountable? They don't.

 

It's not as much as they get it wrong as they fake it up. I have put down several where they went out of their way to make things look different than they actually are. I can forgive mistakes.

 

Trump is your President and the focus is on him for good reason.

 

Trump has lost it. He has gone completely bonkers. No wonder the White House wants him out of Washington and away from actual governing.

Trump held a rally with a cheering crowd of supporters in Lewis Center, Ohio on Saturday night. Trump was there supporting state Sen. Troy Balderson, who's running in a special election on Tuesday against Democrat Danny O'Connor for a vacant House seat.

While visiting Ohio, Trump attacked the most popular sports figure in Ohio, Lebron James.

To put this perspective, this is like going to a rally in Chicago and tearing down Michael Jordan, saying he was stupid.

It is like going to a rally in L.A. and saying if brains were dynamite, Kobe Bryant would not have enough to blow his nose.

It would be like going to Boston and claiming that Tom Brady is the dumbest quarterback in NFL history.

The First Lady turned against the President. Mrs Trump's spokeswoman said James was "working to do good things" with a school in his Ohio hometown. She said Mrs Trump wanted "to have an open dialogue about issues facing children".

No doubt, if asked if he wanted Trump's support, Balderson would have said, "No thanks."

What was the purpose of this incredibly stupid tweet? What did Trump hope to accomplish by it? Trump himself doesn't know because the tweet came from a lunatic. Most know he must always be the center of attention, but this kind of attention is self-destructive.

The fact is, Trump simply does not care. Now that is a problem, a very serious problem. We have a President who simply does not care.

 

Accountable for what exactly? Failure to rein in Trump?

On that I would agree. They often criticize Trump's statements and decisions (tariffs, trade wars, Russian interference, etc.) but they do nothing. They just talk.
