The title of this thread could not be more apt considering Trump's tweets yesterday. There is very little doubt that there is something wrong with this man.

The U.S. needs all the help it can get from Muslim countries in our fight against ISIS. So what does Trump do? After blowing the conference yesterday that was advertised as keeping the government open for business, after blowing a solemn ceremony yesterday honoring Navajo code talkers by calling a U.S. Senator Pocahontas, Trump blew away the assistance of Muslim countries by insulting all of Islam. In the process he angered our strongest and most reliable ally, Great Britain.

Trump touched off another racially charged furor on Wednesday by sharing videos from a fringe British ultra nationalist party purportedly showing Muslims committing acts of violence, a move that was swiftly condemned by Britain’s prime minister as well as politicians across the spectrum.

Trump retweeted the video posts from an ultra nationalist British party leader, Jayda Fransen, who has been charged in the United Kingdom with “religious aggravated harassment.” The videos were titled: “Muslim migrant beats up Dutch boy on crutches!” “Muslim Destroys a Statue of Virgin Mary!” and “Islamist mob pushes teenage boy off roof and beats him to death!”

The reaction was sharp in London, where Prime Minister Theresa May, leader of the Conservative Party, denounced the President for embracing Britain First, the far-right party of Ms. Fransen. “It is wrong for the president to have done this,” Ms. May’s office said in a statement.

The official White House position was stated by Sarah Sanders. "Whether it is a real video, the threat is real. I'm not talking about the nature of the video. I think you're focusing on the wrong thing. The threat is real, and that's what the President is talking about."

In other words, it does not matter if the videos shared by the President are truthful or not. The threat is real. That is the official White House position. My God!

Former Ku Klux Klan leader David Duke had this to say concerning Trump's sharing of the videos from a far right British politician purporting to show violence committed by Muslims.

“Trump retweets video of crippled white kid in Europe being beaten by migrants, and white people being thrown off a roof and then beaten to death,” Duke tweeted. “He's condemned for showing us what the fake news media WON'T. Thank God for Trump! That's why we love him!”

I really have no more to add. Trump's disgraceful actions yesterday speak for themselves.

Wow.... read that entire article.... almost TMI, but the points are well made.... Here is the snip at the end to remember

    SNIP
Nonetheless, the education gap is carving up the American electorate and toppling political coalitions that had been in place for many years.

Can't believe I just wasted the 10 mins to type this....

I cannot speak for either person obviously, but there is a difference between being pro illegal immigration (still not possible) and trying to prevent automatic deportations of all CURRENT Illegal Immigrants in this country and providing them with certain basic rights and services while they remain.

Here's a reasonably recent example of something that sounds like neither wants "illegal immigrants flooding into our Country unchecked"

    http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/n...ecurity-attached-to-dream-act/article/2634370

Sounds to me is that a lot of this disagreement comes down to the stupid wall idea - (2 words - Maginot Line)

None of this changes the fact that it was a bad political idea to send that tweet yesterday...

First of all, only one of the videos he retweeted was questionable. The other two were perfectly valid examples of the level of violence and their rejection of all other belief systems other than Islam.

I'm not sure how what he did was racism as Islam isn't a race. Maybe you got your insult cards mixed up.

Let's examine what the woman in the UK did as a crime: she told a Muslim woman that Muslim men make her wear a tent because otherwise they wouldn't be able to control themselves, and she would be raped. This is, of course, 100% true and is often admitted by Muslims themselves.

Good thing the UK is jailing people for speaking the truth. At least in the mind of liberals everywhere.

Secondly, only a mental midget would attribute him reposting the videos as an innate hatred of all Muslims.

Trump has met with, spoken to, and worked with Islamic leaders and has denounced terror attacks committed against Muslims by other Muslims.

That the islamic world is a violent place, a violent religion, and a threat to western culture is without question.

If it wasn't, people wouldn't feel the need to jail people for speaking the truth.

As far as the UK goes, they're screwed in the long run. They've already got more than 20k jihadis running around their country and more are pouring in every day.

But yes, lets focus on our feelings instead.

It took you 10 minutes to type that?

No, there is no difference. You are either pro-illegal immigrant by protecting them, or you're following the law and deporting them.

The Maginot line has got zero to do with a border wall. The attempt to compare them is completely ludicrious.

We're not being attacked by the 12th Mexican Donkey brigade. The border wall is not a defensive structure.

Walls work. That's why Europe is currently throwing up thousands of miles of barriers to prevent migrant floods.

It was a great idea actually.

If you don't show up to a meeting, it's your fault you didn't show up to a meeting. Chuck and Nancy were offended? Those two have called Trump a racist and a fascist. Why he would give a crap and want to ever meet with those a-holes is beyond me. I would have them arrested and shot for treason if I were president.

Actually, took me 7 of those 10 minutes to decide if you were worth responding to again.... D'Ohhhhh

Maginot Line a perfectly valid comparison.... wish I had come up with it myself but I saw an article when the wall was first raised (so to speak)...

So, you are saying the border wall is an offensive structure??? Don't answer...... consider it a rhetorical question...

Three minutes is still too long so that didn't help you.

No, it's not a valid comparison, we don't have Mexican tanks driving through the woods to attack Los Angeles.

The purpose of the maginot line and the purpose of the border wall are two entirely separate and distinct things. There is no comparison here to have.
If you don't see that, you're failing at logic 101.

No, you're saying it is, since you're comparing it to a defensive structure. That's why the comparison is so dumb.

Yeah, Dems started that trend by electing a community activist who'd never had a real job.
Best thing Obama did was open the door for Trump. :applause:

Oh, and by the way, the Maginot line wasn't even a wall, so you don't even have that going for you.

You're having a "ground hog day" event.

You should reset your brain for that and various other reasons.

No, you can't be POed at someone who is having an event.

    It's a call for help.

Exactly. The legislation is in the hands of Ryan and McConnell. Schumer and Pelosi will work with them and their bargaining position was enhanced by Trump's incredible error in judgment. Other than signing a bill, Trump has nothing to do with the legislation anyway.

Republicans were blamed just like they would be blamed now if the government shuts down after Dec. 8. They control both houses of Congress and their President is to blame for cutting negotiations off. If the Republicans beg enough, the Democrats will work with them ... at a price.

In an interview Thursday on CNN, Graham raised concerns about the way the press covers Trump.

"What concerns me about the American press is this endless, endless attempt to label the guy some kind of kook not fit to be president," Graham said Thursday.

"I think he's a kook. I think he's crazy. I think he's unfit for office," Graham, who backed former Republican presidential candidate Jeb Bush at the time, said during the February 2016 interview.

"I'm a Republican, and he's not. He's not a conservative Republican, he's an opportunist," Graham said on the program. "He's not fit to be president of the United States."

It is strange how Trump and his many fans malign the media for reporting accurately what is happening in the world today. If it is about Trump, and it is an unpleasant fact then, according to them, it is fake news.

Here is a case where a Republican Senator got caught in a malicious lie by his own words. A number of lawmakers have expressed the opinion that Trump is unfit for office. The media reports what those lawmakers say, but it is not the media saying it. It is the lawmakers.

No, this is also not just a binary option.

No one is claiming it's a binary issue, assuming you're talking about illegal immigration.

2 choices is binary in everyone's book.
Why can't another option be, against illegal immigration, but we just can't throw out 12M, or whatever the # is, cost effectively or humanly.
