I'm fairly confident there is a significant percentage of the population who would have put aside their differences with EX President Obama to honor members of the Military who protect and defend our country.

I believe the idea is to honor our Military members for their sacrifice and duty.

Your understanding of the definition of parade is backwards. A parade honors the individual standing on the reviewing stand not the other way around. That's the purpose of 'eyes right'. If you don't know what that is, Google.

In a military parade, honor goes to the people on the reviewing stand who receive the eyes right and the salute of the people marching.

Is Trump going to be marching or in the reviewing stand? Are the troops going to be marching or in the reviewing stand?

Who ever is in the reviewing stand is the one being honored.

I understand the picture the left's media partners are painting of this parade is being pulled from the archives of May Day parades across Red Square, or the PLA being reviewed by Mao, etc..

I am a Vet and I see homeless Vets being brought into our VA hospital who are homeless and yes it is sad but in all honesty some portion of these guys would have ended up homeless even if they were not Vets.

My department is just around the corner from Volunteer Services where homeless or needy Vets are given free ( donated ) clothes and stuff . The irritating thing is that some of them get confused and come to my window and demand to know where the "clothing store" is or why isn't it open even though I tell them you are in the wrong department. Over the several years I have begun to recognize the repeaters - those who come in every few months looking for " free stuff".

It was gotten to the point where a portion of the homeless and other Vets just demand that we hand them "stuff".

One guy recently kicked over one of our signs because he was pissed off because one of our docs did not give him pain meds.

We had one Vet who was so pissed at not getting a refill script for pain pills that he called up the paid worker in our department and threatened to come back and shoot us.

We had to stop having coffee in our waiting room for our patients because the homeless vets would come in take Kcups sugar creamer and shove them in their pockets with no care that they stripped us clean and we did not have any more for our patients.

. Sometimes our fellow Vets are not good guys .
