Not based on faith. Based on merit. Can you read? You evaluate individuals based on merit. Also, your nations work together to create and find other places to move refugees. Refugees that actually fit the legal requirements make up a small portion of the people migrating. Even then, their status might be temporary and/or we should be focused on making their own countries better places to live by assisting them in realistic ways. Also, ensuring we aren't letting people run from the obligation of bettering their own countries when we are assisting them.

FRANKLY, in they USA if the people coming to our doors aren't willing to stand by the constitution, freedom, the republic, Bill of rights, they should not be here. Be gone. They are the people that refugees are running from and they can stay in the **** holes they made.

Just sad that Conservatism has been corrupted by hero worship. NO politician should have their asses kissed like Trump gets his licked.

With the world watching Putin, Trump targets Trudeau
OTTAWA — Donald Trump fired up the Conservative Political Action Conference crowd Saturday night with a barrage of accusations directed at what would have been an unthinkable target just weeks ago: Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

“The radical left is trying to replace American democracy with woke tyranny,” the former U.S. president told his audience in Orlando, Fla., drawing a shower of boos in agreement. “They want to do the same thing to America that Trudeau has been doing to Canada — and much, much worse.”

His focus on Trudeau comes as Russian President Vladimir Putin wages war on Ukraine.

But Trump and MAGA boosters see a way to score points by hammering away at Trudeau over Canada’s Covid measures and the response to trucker convoy protests.

The left is upset Trump isn't distracted by Ukraine.

First, can anyone forecast of the refugee in front of them WILL abide by your constitution?

    You know, Americans whinge on about immigrants but you have a huge empty space populated by cows;
Europe is almost full. Except for mountains and bogs, there is no visible space between houses.
Yet you sit back and watch Europe dealing with Iraqis, Iranians, Syrians, Africans et al.
Some are sham. Almost all are fleeing war, homelessness, dictators, militia groups, rape, infanticide, famine or severe environmental change.
How about giving us a hand?

UN data and independent sources disagree with you.

    https://www.pewresearch.org/fact-tank/2020/08/20/key-findings-about-u-s-immigrants/
"The United States has more immigrants than any other country in the world. Today, more than 40 million people living in the U.S. were born in another country, accounting for about one-fifth of the world’s migrants."

Obviously, @US Conservative messed up when the first link didn't work, he grabbed the wrong link and posted David Pakman's rebuke of Trump and CPAC, and he did a nice job of it, I might add. Pakman is a smart guy.

We have home building programs there.
Unfortunately we are part of the issue when it comes to war, we bomb and invade, we can stop that I hope by putting the right people in office.
Finnally, the dought and food shortages can easily be resolved by shipping excess food to to these countries while we help build things like sky farms, which use significantly less water to grow food.

Taking people from their homes instead of improving their homes is not the best option. Why should we suffer your bad decisions?

And right away you will be complaining about spending taxpayers money on other people.
The problems are the same all over wealthy countries. No one has yet found a solution other than to stop bombing people into homeless poverty. What do you expect them to do other than to try to find a way to survive?

As they should be. But there are no big tech monopolies, only big tech success stories. Monopolies have no competition. These companies certainly do, even from among themselves.

Close enough when they act like a trust to control political expression and speech. IMO, when businesses become big enough to significantly inhibit competition they should be broken up into smaller competing entities.

There is always room for reform.

“I will now add what I do not like. First, the omission of a bill of rights, providing clearly, and without the aid of sophism, for freedom of religion, freedom of the press, protection against standing armies, restriction of monopolies, the eternal and unremitting force of the habeas corpus laws, and trials by jury, in all matters of fact triable by the law of the land, and not by the laws of nations.” THOMAS JEFFERSON, Thomas Jefferson, Letter to James Madison, 1787. The Government From Hell. “Our blue-collar benefactors now face the consequences of the scorched-earth policies adopted by the anointed class. Many have lost their rigs. Operating licenses have been revoked. Criminal charges have been laid. Bans on trucker commerce have proliferated. Bankruptcy looms for many. Livelihoods have been demolished. Families have been obliterated. Marriages are bound to collapse. And I suspect that suicides will mount as desperation sees no escape from ruination. In effect, Justin Trudeau declared war on those who kept the goods and services flowing through the ersatz pandemic and who enabled the populace to weather the government-induced travesty. Gratitude is not in the dwindling catalogue of common virtues. The casualties, though hidden by the Soviet-style media, are devastating.”
