Since none of you seem to be interested in the truth I've summarized it above and linked to the program with the current private sector business commitments now totaling over 14 million. Perhaps after reading this you could likewise summarize what the Democrats are doing to increase employment of US citizens.

These pledges are as worthless as Carrier pledging to keep local jobs, AFTER they received their government bennis (or tax cuts to those corps). If those jobs have been created after 5 years, THEN he can brag.

Second, what exactly did Ivanka have to do with it? Would those companies plan to not hire in the next five years if it weren't for Ivanka?

 

Call the Whitehouse and submit your commitment to the Pledge to American Workers program. There are a great many small companies pledging a modest number of job training over the next 5 years.

That is a pledge committing companies ”to expand programs that educate, train, and reskill American workers from high-school age to near-retirement.”

It doesn’t say ANYTHING about new jobs. I could own a company with 20 employees and make that commitment for 20 employees. Then expand my training program for all employees (let’s say we all do 1/2 day of training for workplace health and safety every year) and I would meet my pledge. No new jobs, just increase the training program for my existing workforce.

If he had stuck to the facts and said Ivanka had got 387 companies to sign the pledge, he would have been fine. But he didn’t. He took something that was laudable but not spectacular and - being the pathological liar that he is - he had to turn it into something YUGE!

And then came the lie that she has created 14 million new jobs.

 

The evidence is in front of your face. Companies don’t train people unless they have future job openings. And these companies have made that commitment to US citizen workers.

You mock this effort and commitment but again what are the Democrats doing ??? Telling and just another example of so-called progressives showing their true regressiveness.
