Not sure what point you are trying yo make. Care to be more specific. Congress is the only body that makes laws. What does that have to do with anything.

So what you are saying is you don't like it that Trump acts like your kind does, with not knowing what will spew from your own brain other than knowing you were told to hate Trump, Right?

Didn't know you owned a team. Guess if your player does thst you can try firing him as long as his contract specifies he has to stand for the national anthem.

OK, so if you're the team owner you're not going to do anything about anything they do during the anthem. Nazi salutes, taking a knee to protest unfair treatment of blacks, anything. The player could don a vagina hat to protest for women's issues. Anything goes.

If I were one of these billionaire team owners, I'd just pay him off according to his contract and send him packing.

Nothing is going to add gravitas to something as deeply meaningless as the game of football as played on the professional level.

Why do leftists hate common sense all of a sudden? Just why do leftists hate having to do the Right thing?

Just why do leftists think they should involve politics with professional sports?

Why can't leftists figure out that just because one is entitled to free speech, doesn't mean there isn't any consequences coming from that free speech. Oh wait.....I forgot leftists already have a problem dealing with common sense. My bad!

You are clearly unfamiliar with the super bowl

And what exactly is meaningful about the superbowl? Excluding the debut of new advertising which I will admit is occasionally interesting.

I personally would not... although I might be inclined to trade the guy for purely business reasons... it is a distraction that probably offends some portion of the fan (revenue) base

    Lol ...

If he took a knee to protest the election of a black man to the presidency, you and I both would fire him in two seconds ... snowflake. :nana:

Gravitas and meaning are different concepts
I remember the outcomes of very few Super Bowls... so they have almost no ultimate meaning
But it is beyond dispute that every possible bit of showmanship and hype is deployed before the game to give the verisimilitude of significance

Sure, giving in to the people who hate America solves everything, right? Dude, it's the national anthem of the greatest country on Earth.

You know what's funny? Trump said he wants to make America great again and the left ridiculed the crap out of him because they said America is already great. The next day they're out protesting, burning, rioting and being violent against other Americans because of race, religions, immigration, gender, burning the flag, tearing down statues, or any number of other things. Clearly the left hates this country and find new ways daily why they don't think it's great - yet they don't leave.

I would maybe sit him on the bench till his contract expires... or publicly admonish him that he has a right to free speech on his own time... but that his work is not the place for that and yeah, his job is on the line if he continues to be a distraction

OK. If, for some contractual reason I couldn't fire him, I wouldn't play him. But if I could, I would pay his contract off and send him packing.

Not at all. I'm just asking what you, as a team owner, would do about it? It sounded like you wouldn't do anything about it. I guess that's the difference between us because I sure as hell would do something about it.
