I love it when Dems stay so focused on Trump. They won't even notice when DeSantis moves int the White House!

Watching the loser squirm, writhe, bleat, and lash out is entertaining as he is dumped by Republican politicians, conservative mega-donors, media propagandists, and worshipful bible-humpers.

Whether the Floridian's authoritarianism will sell nationally is another matter. He still must secure the GOP nomination.

You hate Judeo-Christian religion. Your hatred is becoming boundless, er, 'boundary-less'.

I don't know why you go on all the time about hate as a negative accusation.
I love hate. It is honest, unwoke, unequivocal, and very therapeutic.
Big Brorher was quite right. Everyone should have a three minute hate.
Maybe the US should alternate the picture though. Trump on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, Biden on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays and a Mexican migrant in a dirty hat on Sundays just for the sake of Judeo Christian brotherhood.

Hatred is the basis of authoritarianism in the world and authoritarianism is growing by leaps and bounds in the world. Authoritarianism leads to holocausts, wars and purges, for examples, and we're seeing all those things today 'cause of high rates of authoritarianism throughout the world.

Heck, even the UN, for example, is authoritarian.

Hatred is not the cause of authoritarianism. The crude quest for control doesn't need hatred. It needs an egotistical narcissistic blowhard who keeps shouting in your ear what a genius he is.
I hate him for that but have no desire to be authoritarian. In fact I have ALWAYS favoured personal liberty and have told the state to get out of people's lives.
Your simple equation does not compute.

In other words, you want to hate tremendously but you don't want to be blamed for it. Instead, you'd rather blame the target of your hatred.:roflol:

    I have never even met a "Judeo-Christian."

Your attempt at diversion to religion fails. I do not share your contempt for any religion.

Despite your hatred of religion, the People have freedom to worship as they choose in America, one god, some gods, all gods, or no gods, free of your authoritarian coercion.

Please stop rewriting my posts, especially when what you translate has nothing to do with the subject. Nor does what you translate make any sense.
You can blame me all you want that I have an opinion. That makes YOU authoritarian
    and overtly judgemental.
I hate where it clearly and repeatedly offends my moral code.
If I didn't hate that, there is no point in having one..

Republicans are very adept at resisting the "Loser". That's why Repubs own the House now. The "Loser" in the White House i sat least declawed financially. He's 80 now... should keel over any time and the "Loser" will be gone.

Trump's chosen candidates performed woefully in 2022, turning the GOP their highly touted "Red Wave" into a pink trickle. It was an abysmal performance for the opposition in a midterm with an unpopular president. Democrats could even increase their margin in the Senate, all credit going to Trump.

Unfortunately, the Loser's persisting in his noxious behavior will seriously reduce his being a factor in 2024.

What does any of that have to do with the demented guy in the White House?

What does the bellywhingers underestimating the President have to do with the thread's topic:

The term "Trump Toadies" demonstrates the emotional, biased, unreasoned discussion here. I'm out.

I'll probably vote for Trump if he gets the Republican nomination, but I will not support him in the primaries. The Democrats will probably nominate a far leftist whom I could never support.

I too what to see the old generation of politicians retire. I'm 73 going on 74. It's time for the next generation to take command.

Calling Trump supporters "toadies" is just a fancy put-down. If you still support Biden, I would not call you "a toady," but I would say that you have clouded judgement.

I want anyone but Trump to win the GOP nomination.

Whoever Democratic nominee, he/s can just sleep rest of the campaign.

Trump will take care the GOP nominee all by himself as an independent candidate. All you need is 2%-3% Republicans vote for Trump and game over!

A couple of interesting stats. Those republicans who view Trump very favorable now stands at 42% which is down from 58% last January. I equate those republicans who view Trump very favorably as being avid Trumpers.

Also, only 35% of republicans think of themselves being MAGA Republicans. They’re the largest faction within the GOP, thus with a plurality can control the republican party since the rest aren’t united and still very much in fear of Trump and his supporters as they have the ability to primary them out. I do agree, Trump is losing his influence slowly. Wish it was much faster.

Fear seems to be the predominant driving force in the current GOP.

The profiles in cowardice that have defined the aftermath of Trump's attempts to overthrow a certified, democratic election - his goons attacking Congress, his fake elector schemes, his intimidation of Republican governors and secretaries-of-state, and his continuing evidence-free insistence in his airy-fairy "Landslide!" - define the Party today.

In the immediate aftermath of the January 6, 2021... Speaking on the Senate floor, Lindsey Graham told lawmakers, “Trump and I, we’ve had a hell of a journey,” but “all I can say is count me out. Enough is enough.” House minority leader Kevin McCarthy declared Trump “bears responsibility for Wednesday’s attack on Congress by mob rioters. He should have immediately denounced the mob when he saw what was unfolding.” The mob, Mitch McConnell told his colleagues, “was fed lies. They were provoked by the president and other powerful people.” ... Republican leadership went even further in their private rebuking of Trump and wanted him booted from the Republican Party once and for all.

After a few weeks of tough talk, they made the cowardly political calculation to do nothing and allow Trump to maintain his iron grip on the GOP.
Hoping that the Democratic Party would fumigate their Trumped Party for them proved futile. They had the power to do it themselves, and wimped out.

    McConnell had told top advisers,

The Democrats are going to take care of the son of a bitch for us ...
if this isn’t impeachable, I don’t know what is.”

Because if the guy in the White House is as bad and demented as you claim he is then the GOP should have wiped the floor with the Democrats in the 2022 mid terms.

You have an explanation as to why that did not happen?
