Maybe there's no reason to change.

If forced to choose, I'd prefer gridlock to the Democrats' nauseating agenda, at least that of the progressive wing and the moderates who won't tell them to sit down and shut up.

    Correct.

If Sen. McConnell ever made a derogatory remark about President Obama personally, or of Democratic voters, I don't recall it.

Your problem is that your fool’s gold fuhrer, is the corrupt, immature, spoiled, little fool that he plays on TV.

You can rant your empty noise about dislike of Trump being “irrational” all you want.

But just about anyone can bury you in video, quotes, and facts that prove that Trump really is the reprehensible, incompetent, corrupt, vulgar and venal fool that he is.

Are you not a little curious why the left says similar kinds of things about the right? You can see some on this very thread.

So being sarcastic is now insulting? You actually think that the extremely high percent of pro Trump approval is real?
You and I have a right to our opinions. wE all express our opinions in different ways. Some people call the Democratic Party the Democrat party and using that name Democrat party" is an expression of an opinion.
Another way would be as some have done is to conclude that a portion of Trump fans know that there was no widespread fraud but repeat the false accusation of fraud on purpose. How would you describe those who do that?

And when a Republican is president, then gridlock is fine too?

"Donnie" is condescending and if one takes's Donnie's behavior and his words of the way he says things about others and the way he childish ways be behaves while holding the highest office in the world that condensation is well earned.

So while you criticize me you throw up the Maybe you defrauded yours." ( bank). So are you a hater implying that i may have committed fraud!!!! See sly stealthy accusations work both ways.

Agree. President Trump exposed the coronavirus as "Democrats hoax" - which reduced infections by hundreds percent.
By making fun of Biden's wearing "Largest mask I’ve ever seen" he convinced Americans to wear masks.
President Trump invented new way to fight the coronavirus:

And people forget that President Trump is incredible Docter:

The policies of personal destruction, dehumanization and delegitimization of the opposition, instigation of racial frictions where none exist, cancel culture, censorship are fully owned by the left and the media (but I repeat myself). Lest we forget riots, intimidation, harassments and physical violence against half the country's population that support Trump/republicans.

You can ignore the elephant in the room all you want but any meaningful discussion of "middle ground" with you is impossible until you acknowledge certain realities and stop drawing false equivalencies. These phony calls for reconciliation without acknowledging the parallels between the last 5 years and McCarthyism and dealing with them as McCarthyism was dealt with are not fooling anyone.

I'm not calling directly for reconciliation - I'm suggesting that when both sides assert the other side has caused all the problems, that makes it impossible to find any middle ground. You're simply confirming my point. Republicans definitely have legitimate grievances against the media but if you're not curious how your side has contributed to the overall situation, why would you blame the left for not being open to your sense of grievance?

Well, you should be delighted then!

What McConnell is doing right now is classic GOP gridlock!!!!

    Enjoy your $600.00.

You're missing one point ---- it takes someone to start every war. The Democrats started the war, so it seems disingenuous to not only try to assign equal blame to the Republicans, but to ask the Republicans what they're going to do to fix it.

The question of "how to restore unity" should be directed first to the Democrats, and second to the media.

And then there is also the issue of Democrat policies which are simply 100% unacceptable, so there will never be a middle ground there. It's like this ---- if you said you thought it was ok to torture animals, I would not be able to find a middle ground with you. I'm not even a Republican, but that's how I feel about some of the Dem policies and leaders.

This is much ado about nothing. Simply Barack Obama and Joe Biden split the votes of their supporters. Actually this is not even as good of news as you want to portray it If you look at the overall results.

Where have I said it's only up to Republicans? I keep saying it's both sides. Some dems argue this all started with Gingrich. My guess would be there has been a gradual build up of grievances on both sides over a long period of time, but I didn't live through it so I can't judge. I take your point you're not Republican, but to say "dems started the war" is almost certainly too simplistic. The media definitely has questions to answer; that includes Fox and OANN. When both sides are behaving in extremely partisan fashion (just witness this site) then isn't it up to both sides to do some self-examination?

Great point actually. Given the now absolutely undeniable existence of Trump's "shy vote" and the fact that Trump outperformed all pre-election polls by 4-8%, the actual number of people who named Trump are much closer to 22%, in full agreement with the margin of error.

Obama's number is more durable than Trump's since people have had time to for their attention to drift from Obama to other things; so that he still is at the forefront of the public consciousness indicates a salient result.

Trump on the other hand is the very definition of an attention-wh***, who the public cannot get away from; not surprising that in the wake of the election (and in the context of his overt attempts to cheat and overturn the election) his Authoritarian supporters are registering their undying devotion to his Cult.

A much more revealing poll would be: who is the most despised person in America? That's a poll I expect Trump would win by a country mile.

Jeez, it's painful to watch how desperately you're trying to avoid the last 5 years of non-stop personal destruction, dehumanization of the opposition, intimidation, harassment, "cancel", boycotts, violence, riots, looting perpetuated by the Left against tens of millions of regular American people.

Your false equivalence is a major fail, neither Gingrich nor McConnel nor the republican base ever did anything even remotely resembling the disgusting conduct of the Dems (both the leadership and the base) during Trump years. No one was thrown out of a restaurant for wearing a Bernie hat.

The only real equivalence is with McCarthyism and there will be no possibility of any reconciliation until the perpetrators of this leftist McCarthyism are exposed and dealt with.

I just love arm chair quarterbacks. Why don't you run for office, get elected, and show us how it's done?

If you win, I'll never refer to you as "Parti-zany" or somesuch to get cheap laughs from cowards.

I never said a word about election fraud. Get your facts straight.
