Does this enhance Trump's shot at the 2024 nomination?

Trump hosted Nick Fuentes at a pre-Thanksgiving dinner at his Mar-a-Lago pleasure palace, and, after his dinner companion's identity was publicly exposed, Trump claimed not to have known who he was,

Trump is an ordinary citizen, free to break bread with whomever he chooses but, the company he keeps aside, if disreputable strangers can so easily be feted in Trump's erstwhile depository of classified documents, does that lax atmosphere not underscore a contempt for national security?

Certainly, it affirms the propriety of the Attorney General, the FBI Director, the Federal Judge, and the Public Servants, all of whom were threatened for enforcing the law.

    Trump has a problem.

The Loser defended his hosting the notorious white supremacist and anti-semite by claiming that he didn't know who was accompanying an anti semitic show business celebrity he had invited.

After a series of antisemitic tirades, Kanye West had been banned by Twitter and dropped from major corporate deals.

“Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, was asking me for advice concerning some of his difficulties, in particular having to do with his business,” Trump wrote Friday on Truth Social, his own personal platform he had absconded to after getting banned from Twitter for inciting his goons to attack Congress.

“Anyway, we got along great, he expressed no anti-Semitism, & I appreciated all of the nice things he said about me on ‘Tucker Carlson [Tonight].’ Why wouldn’t I agree to meet?”

Why avoid anti-semites that are nice to you?

After all, one has one's priorities.

Republican leaders are finally speaking truth to degeneracy.

House and Senate Republicans are speaking out against Trump's dinner last week with Ye, the rapper formerly known as Kanye West, and white nationalist and Holocaust denier Nick Fuentes.

"There is no room in the Republican Party for antisemitism or white supremacy," Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell said Tuesday. "And anyone meeting with people advocating that point of view, in my judgment, are highly unlikely to ever be elected president of the United States."...

When a reporter pointed out to McCarthy that Trump only denied knowing Fuentes — not condemning his ideologies — McCarthy responded, "Well, I condemn his ideology, it has no place in society; at all."

I guess that means Obama hosting a notorious black supremacist/antisemite solidified his base.

So what Oprah Winfrey hosted Donald Trump in 1988 and was mesmerized by him.

Trump's weird worshipers are desperate, unable to honestly confront the present, fleeing to days of yore.

You title makes a statement of fact.

Prove it if you are going to make such allegations. What proof do you have that his base even knew who this guy was?

It shows famous people like Oprah and Trump get involved with many questionable people during their normal lives. Sometimes their handlers fail to protect them from bad decisions.

He didn't have the Secret Service with him with Oprah, and Oprah is hardly as questionable as an actual white nationalist. Plus, he already knew one of the people he invited was an anti-Semite, so why act surprised when he invited another to tag along?

    No.
No. DeSantis has developed a clear lead now, and not just in Florida. Remains to be seen if it will hold. I hope it does.

You spoke of the ascendancy of De Santis in the eclipse of Trumpery, and I concurred.

Whether there are too many aspirants to the GOP nomination that divide the votes in the primaries, as happened in 2016, remains to be seen.

    1) He wasn't hosting him. 2) He publicly criticized his anti-semitism.

Trump and DeSantis are in a race to see who most resembles Hitler. The winner gets the 2024 Republican nomination.

This will kill the Republican Party dead as a political force and I look forward to that. The Nazis in the USA are very vociferous and so appear to be much more numerous than they really are

If you come to my house and eat my food, I'm hosting you. What you say later when informed I love mass murderers is irrelevant. It's your house, you should know who you have as an honored guest.

What was he doing? Sure. He just also publicly supported the same people supporting Farrakhan. Like his "church".

Farrakhan is still supported by a number of democrats, even if you remove Obama from the equation.

But in the image in question, it wasn't at his house, unless I'm missing something.

So Obama, the NAACP, and Farrakhan share similar causes.
