This is where their incredibly feeble argument collapses back into the puddle of swill that it is.

The more we mix, di verse it gets. It is worse because we make such a big deal about it. However, Balkanize causes wars and insurrection.

Racial diversity has literally zero impact on social cohesion. Sorry, that's just bollocks.

It's ALL culture. Your skin tone doesn't play any part in it.

I don’t trust his perspective, or anyone from Fox in general.

Well a lot of them have left California, but because home prices have risen so much in LA, many sold their homes and moved to inland california, vegas etc where they could get a better house, that wasn't in the ghetto. This clip mentions it...

Of course, there are plenty of hispanics in those places as well, so the issue remains.

With that goes gang violence as well-and there is plenty of it, almost exclusively these gangs are of the same ethnicity. Multi ethnic gangs are rare.

Its one reason why crime tends to be higher in cities-there are more ethnic groups in contact and sometimes competition.

Just seems like a lot of people asking that question happen to be white.

So if housing affordability in LA is a major issue then logically you would move out to a less expensive spot. And plus lots of blacks don’t wanna live in the hood anymore, who wants to stay stuck in unimpressive neighborhoods?

Most people in this country are white. You shouldn't be considering what a persons race is when they say something.

Why are we ignoring people like this black civil rights leader?

I wouldn't want to live in the hood anymore either, and I did.

The problem is a lot of hispanics don't want to either.

The problem isnt getting better, its just changing locales.

Southern california is one of the most diverse places in the nation, and its problems are not solved. Its getting worse.

“We should end legal immigration to countries where the people don’t look like we do!” See op. When you say foolish things like that it makes it real hard to have a discussion that doesn’t involve telling you how foolish it is. First off who exactly is we? How do you define what an American looks like? You do realize there is different races that make up the American population? Second off. You don’t need to look or speak like “we” do. But what is ABSOLUTELY necessary is that they are capable, or even willing, to intergate properly. That’s important. Diversity is fine so long as that can at least happen. And no that doesn’t mean everyone has to have the same religion or anything dumb like that. But you have to be able to respect the core values our nation holds or else it does lead to problems. Also “end legal immigration”. No. Just... no dude.

In my world, it's the POC who don't want any more 'diversity', and the white folk who do want it.

Most of those people who live in the hood have no intention of doing anything to actually get themselves out of the hood. Then there is "ghetto creep".... It's destroying communities and the people who can make a living and can afford to live decently, have to keep moving further and further away. But the problem is mostly who is the hood and not who made it out of there.

MS13 is el Salvadorian. There are mexican gangs, many that run out of Mexico, but MS13 is taking over their territory, so mexican gangs are expanding into the midwest, and also many of those inland areas I was talking about-where blacks live and there are black gangs. I even know of a gang composed of mexican indians-they don't even speak spanish.

Also, Chinese, and a few white gangs.

Keep in mind, all of this "diversity" is glanced over by the media and largely ignored by politicians.

The politics here are largely tribal, the areas with more hispanics vote in hispanic politicians.

This is the identity politics wormhole. As is, only about 13% of Americans are black, they are already outnumbered by hispanics, and likely within a few decades there will be more asians.

Very true, I saw it in my own neighborhood during the 2008 housing crash. Lots of section 8 and squatters. You could tell the squatters because they didn't have power, and so at night their homes were always dark.

The homeowners moved out, and the hoodrats moved in. I drove through there recently and its unrecognizable now.

And thats besides the homeless problem.

No, that isn't true. Indeed, it is anathema to the American idea.

Do you think the Founding fathers ate hamburgers, went to baseball games, ate spaghetti or pizza, ever saw a sack dance at a wedding?

American culture is an evolving thing. Diversity has been condemned here by no nothings, white supremacists, isolationists, and other flat earth types.

But for much of our history, we celebrated our diversity. We did not see it as a threat. Weak and fearful people, and the forces that exploit them, see the world that way.

And guys like Carlson disgrace themselves by enabling and promoting the fear mongering.
