Tulsa police: Multiple people shot at medical building

I had to visit someone at the ER a couple of months ago and that setup from your picture is pretty much what it looked like. That being said, there was no such setup at the other 50 or so doors into the hospital or the interior hallways that lead to the ER and hundreds of other rooms.

This is another reason why the democrats are eager to stack the SC. They really have no respect for the Constitution.

 

This is exactly what is needed for the families of the victims.

What is needed is more thought and prayer.

That should be more than enough to stop another madman from arming himself to kill innocent people.

 

Well, you aren't going to make guns disappear in The United States. Repeal the 2nd Amendment and pass a law outlawing every type and caliber of firearm that exists and there will still be guns in The United States. When that happens, the drug cartels in Mexico will build their own machine shops and start cranking out guns by the tens of thousands.

Most hospitals I've seen have patient areas and staff areas separated by access card doors.

How would you amend it? Keep in mind it will require 2/3 of the States to pass it, so word it carefully.

There is a card access door between the ER and the patient rooms in that area but, as a matter of necessity, there are myriad hallways that lead to other wings of the hospital. Patients that need to go to Xray have to be able to be wheeled to that wing. Those that need surgery have to be wheeled to that wing. Those that need an MRI have to be able to get to that wing, etc. so if you go in another door to the hospital you can rather easily get to the ER wing through the "back door", so to speak.

My institution has badge access on secondary doors (staff only) and all main entrances (3) have security stations at these points of entries.

bull. in the 1960s, the democrats held all major political offices. But street crime due to drugs was ramping up-=also accelerated by LBJ's idiotic great society program that caused massive disruptions to black families. Nixon-a gun hater himself-saw an opening-blame the dems for rising street crime. The strategy started working. The dems needed a counter. Using the murders of the kennedys and Dr King, they started howling for gun control. They knew cracking down on violent street crime would cause many of their black supporters as well as many white liberals, to scream "RACISM" so gun control was ideal. It didn't upset that constituency and the people it most harmed tended to be conservative voters anyway.

So the first reason for Democrat gun control was pandering to people who wanted something to be done about street crime and pretending dems were DOING SOMETHING. Then when the NRA and gun groups pushed back and started lobbying against anti gun Democrats-the gun control movement started pushing stuff designed just to harass lawful gun owners-example-the stupid ban on machine guns made after 5.19-86 and the Clinton gun ban

Evidently, this wasn't (WASN'T) some Uvalde-style mass-murderer... this Michael Louis guy had a 'beef' with the doctor who had operated on him earlier in May.... Yes, it's a tragedy, but not exactly the kind of "crisis" that Rahm Emanuel probably had in mind when he said that radical Democrats should never let a crisis "go to waste"....

 

If we don't do a very good job of enforcing the laws that already exist what makes you think more useless laws that only serve to burden the law-abiding gun owners will do a damn thing?
