here's what pisses me off about us as a country, though - i am a liberal and i was against the drone strikes when Bush used them and I am against them now with Obama using them.

but i don't remember the right wing being so anti-drone during the Bush years, but now they're all morally against them.
and i remember the left wing calling Bush a war criminal for the drone strikes but now they're remaining silent for the most part now that it's Obama.

you don't deserve to have the avatar of FDR with an attitude like that - and were you "tough ****" when 9/11 happened to us ?

Good for them. When you reply to me you are replying to me not the "right wing" or liberals"

It is called being a blind partisan...Obama does a great deal of things that Bush did, but now it is either bad or good (depending on what party you are with)......Obama in a lot of ways has been worse with civil liberties than Bush was....it is why the parties are more the same than different.

Looks like those people in the World Trade Center should have know better not to be in those buildings on 9/11. See how ludicrous that sounds? That's exactly how you sound.

Maybe you'd like to see another 911, or maybe you think being nice to people will prevent one.

I'm pretty damn sure blowing innocent civilians to pieces with a hellfire missile isn't going to prevent another 9/11.

Being nice to people might not hurt. Do you figure that if the US troops left the Mid-East and went home that they'd attack the US anyway because they are jealous of "American Exceptionalism,"
as Sean Hannity says? You figure "We'll put a boot in their ass, it's the America way," as his theme song goes, is they way to gain respect?

How about the terrorists that were killed in this strike? Were they innocent too? I wonder why we only catch these guys in public when they are around lots of other people? Boggles the mind doesn't it.

Is that right? I would guessed ignorance as being the most likely reason.

Being nice to people might not hurt doesn't sound like much of a strategic policy to me.

do you think this policy should be used domestically if known criminals and terrorists are hiding among innocent populations ?

Are you even willing to admit that killing civilians is pretty damn counter productive? I wonder how folks are going to join al queada as a result of killing their family members.

I will agree that we should stay the (*)(*)(*)(*) out of all countries, but after 9/11 attack, they want to leave their borders and start killing us. Look at the nut they just stopped from blowing up the airport, these people are murderous loons mainly for religious reasons, and using us as their excuse to murder their own. I;m curious why you think we provide the bombs that they blow up their own people with? I have yet to see a self destructing vest produced by the United States

Hitting the wrong wedding party would certainly be unproductive, hitting the right wedding party should be instructive for wedding planners.

We provide arms. Iran Contra and Syria ring the bell? How about Afghanistan when they were fighting off the Soviets...

    Tom tit.
Would that be the same al Qaeda that your CIA produced, the same al qaeda that your CIA used in Libya?

Protects your soldiers? The same soldiers that are committing suicide because of there actions against innocent civilians, speak about cherry picking ones argument!
If I came over there and murdered your loved ones would make it safer for your soldiers.
Murdering wedding parties, committing genocide protects your soldiers!
    Tom tit!

It isn't as cut and dry as you think it is. Even sending spec ops in there carries the same risk of killing civilians. This is exactly what they do. They barracade themselves in a building full of civilians, booby trap the entrances and give you no real choice but to blow the building up. Or they will shoot at you then run into a crowd of people. They give weapons to civilians and make them shoot at us or they kill their family. I've even seen them give weapons to women and make them attack us. Kids throwing hand grenades.

I've seen this all, it's not as easy as so many make it out to be. You will have civilian casualties when the enemy purposefully uses civilians to shield themselves. Until the enemy changes its ways of fighting there is nothing we can do to prevent civilian deaths, all we can do is try to minimize them.
