This force involve the same thing as US involved when it instigated bloody coup in Kiev in 2014 which resulted in nationalistic government with a lot of far right people coming into power.

I'm suggesting they follow the articles of war scrupulously and treat their prisoners humanely in accordance, which I understand they are doing for the most part. Let Putin and his Spetsnaz stand alone before the Hague in coming years.

 

"They" being the Ukrainians, have ignored the Minsk Accord, which "they" signed back in 2015, choosing instead to continue shelling civilians in Donbas, resulting in over 12,000 dead.

This has all happened while being behind their side of the "line of contact"; a line set up to prevent hostilities and monitored by the OSCE.

Prior to Russia launching into Ukraine on February 24, the Ukies had amassed an estimated 60,000 troops in the area along the line of contact. That's a lot of non-aggression! Now Russia has moved in and will non-aggressively kick their ass.

It didn't have to be this way. All Ukraine had to do was honor the agreement they signed. Instead it has come to this. Without saying it in so many words, Russia has invoked R2P, just as NATO did in Yugoslavia. Too late now to whine about it.
