Well, the 14th Amendment does say constitutional rights apply to 'any person' right?

I know there is a law against it, but the article discusses this point.

I suspect this will be appealed and SCOTUS will rule on it.

I think it’s just a path to another SCOTUS ruling. It’s federally illegal to buy a gun if you are not a citizen. The only way an illegal could possibly attain one is illegally. However, this could lead to quite the interesting case. Because if the federal government can’t restrict gun ownership on citizenship then states likely won’t be able to restrict purchases of guns to out of state citizens. This is currently restricted when it comes to hand guns in many states.

Personally I am 100% okay with immigrants owning guns.

 

As they are not legally residents of this country(let alone citizens), none of the constitutional rights owed to the citizens goes to a NON-Citizen

this judge is going to be overturned on appeal. This is the left's version of Cannon.

Permanent legal residents can already buy a gun.

 

So not even green card holders and visa holders? Citizenship has NEVER been required for things like 1st or 2nd Amendment rights in this country. EVER. Duh!

In the first place if ICE(Immigration and CUSTOMS) did their job, such questions wouldn't need to be answered. I do think the 14th might apply on a basic humanitarian sense, but not the 2nd amendment. Now we're politely asking Central America: Please invade, you can keep your guns now too.

Depends who you ask. Some argue we have "People", and then we have "vermin" and its about 50-50 in US.

 

I'm not going to speculate on that until I know more.

 

Those are recognized under the 14th amendment. What makes this unique is that illegals are illegals precisely because they are undocumented(ie: They're not in our classification system)
