US Army teaches hatred of Islam...

A bit of an eye-opener, this, Or is it? What better way to insidiously propagandize and disseminate hatred for ALL Muslims than spread it through the armed forces?
Fortunately someone saw sense and this disgusting course has been withdrawn.

Governemnt promotion of religious intolerance is wrong on many levels and goes against sthe most valued tenent of American freedom, religious freedom.

That being said, I wouldn't expect much outrage over this.

 

In light of the fact that this course has been shut down it's obvious that the worst way to attempt to propagandize and disseminate hatred for ALL Muslims would be to try and spread it through the armed forces...

We get it.. religious fanatics are bad, and muslims seem to have more than most mythologies. That being said, if you promote religious intolerance then you are out of step with the founding principles of this country.

 

I don't think the armed forces needed to promote Muslim hatrid to those fighting them, anymore than solders needed it to hate German and Japanese. It's just not those on the battle field. Ask the French and Dutch how they feel about them. If you want respect you must first show respect to others.

 

I saw Hindu Marines get spit on at Boot Camp because the DI's thought they were Muslim... so nothing new there

 

Who is saying "(*)(*)(*)(*) religious freedom"? I hate Islam but support people's right to adhere to it up to the point where they start hurting other people.

 

The Muslims have done more to spread hatred toward their religion than any Army course could do.

 

Or, you could just let our armed forces read the military news paper, walk out of their base in Iraq or Afghanistan and see the remains of their friends that were blow to pieces by people of the islamo faith. Then there are the troops who have been killed by islamo dogs who our troops are training to protect their own country so that we can leave them a secure country.

The Pentagon suspended the course in late April when a student objected to the material. The FBI also changed some agent training last year after discovering that it, too, was critical of Islam.

It is wrong to teach our troops that islam teaches their followers that it's fine to kill innocent people who are in the way of killing our troops so our troops should net relax in a crowd of kids and women??
The war waged against us is authorized and brought to us by islam.

Perhaps those military instructors are confusing Islamism with Islam. Islamism is equivalent with militant Islam or radical Islam prevalent within al Qaeda circles. Following the collapse of the Soviet Union, political movements based on the liberal ideology of free expression and democratic rule have spread to many parts of the world but political Islam currently reigns as the most powerful ideological force across the Muslim world and the older generations who fought the Cold War readily identify Islamism as an ideological threat similar to Communism which has to be defeated.

Speaking out against the evils inherent in Islam is not oppression. Muslims have a right to religious freedom in our country. There is of course little if any religious freedom in Islamic countries.

The difference here being that it's the religion of Islam which was being propagandized as evil. Shinto, Buddhism or Christianity were not the subject of government hate programmes as far as I know.

 

i hate a lot of what i have read in translations of the koran but your not a murderer or a tyrant just becase your muslim its true islam can take monsterous forms so can a lot of faiths

Islam has done it to themselves. Don't blow people up for no reason and no will have too much of a problem with you. Quite simple. It's not our place to accept Islam. It's Islams place to prove they can be trusted and that happens when it's people stop keeping their mouths shut when another radical kills someone. Or, they stop trying to change us laws. You can keep saying, but oh they're the just the crazy ones killing people or asking for laws to change. That excuse only goes so far.

 

Oh the irony...that excuse doesn't work because you cannot distinguish who is a terrorist when you compare the actions of the US governments to that of armed opposition militia, Taliban and so called "Al-queda"... their actions are both deplorable and should be condemned by any moral and just individual. So taking one side is a futile and brainless choice.
