A-10s are pretty low-tech, and the tanks are targets.

Well yes, just like an officer is a target for a sniper. (Everything has a counter)

That's warfare, constantly countering your opponent until someone gos 100% Bankrupt, loses the support of the citizens, or flat out loses.

    Drones? They'll be gone.

    Most of our Airforce, gone.

Anything with a circuit board will become junk pretty quick, the next war will be just like the last. Only with more death and more ways to get killed.

This so-called Russian Warship passed again from the straits under the supervision of Turkish submarines. This time there was no person on the deck, carrying a bazooka.

Caesar Kunikov went to Syrian coasts and went back to Russia. What it was carrying ? Guess.

B-52's are old, old platforms- but still capable of doing what they can do- drop lots of bombs in places where they can't be shot down.

But they are better than the old Russian bombers- at least they are actually full jets- unlike like the still in service TU-95 turbo-props.

What is the point of this thread again?

    Your dreams of WW3?

If EMPs are used, the war has gone nuclear so it would all be pretty irrelevant.

Though military vehicles are better shielded against both than any others.

Not true, an EMP could come from space. It could be weak Gamma ray burst coming from across the galaxy hitting our planet (we don't really understand what that would do yet) or it could from our sun.

Wouldn't that be the prime time for an army with a large ground force to attack?

How would that large ground force attack exactly?

Unless the magical Gamma Ray selectively hit the United States only- and only as the Russians or the Chinese or whoever was preparing to cross the ocean to invade.

Or maybe the invading army would be brought over on great sailing ships......

Russia would be fine, most of their stored equipment is mechanical based not electronic based.

Are there rockets still mechanical based? I'm unsure, I remember reading something about American astronauts being completely confused about all of the switches and levers that controlled the ruskies stuff.

That type of tech could function fine post EMP.

That was true in the 60's, not so much today. All their guidance and navigation aboard ships and planes are just as modern as what the US is using.
Beside, EMPs are reat against civilian infrastructures but they're stop by a simple faraday cage like the one my company use to harden industrial controler that are near high current power lines and electric generating equipment that do produce EMPs on a regular basis.
