I appreciate that Civil War is what the US is trying to get going in Venezuela and that it has been trying to get this going for decades providing the Opposition with weapons, advising them and so on ever since its failed attempted Coup in 2002.

I also accept that civil wars frequently end like Syria and Yemen, devastating and millions dead and refugees. For this reason I have to believe that a foreign country trying to start a civil war ought, if it is not already, to be seen as a crime against humanity subject to the most harsh punishment at the Haig.

Most of the military in Syria stayed with Assad. The rest were bought out. Killing increased massively. That what the US wanting here? Of course the main people the Saud's/US etc had to fight Assad were the extremists who also were paid and provided with arms and where necessary training. This imo was a crime against humanity.

Civil war is of course also what the US is hoping to set in motion in Iran

Putin has a fair record of supporting legitimately elected leaders. Think Assad. Think Ukraine. Maduro is legitimately elected, therefore Vlad supports him.

Maduro does not kiss Washington's arse or do its bidding, therefore in true American Style, we overthrow the government.

Change the names and dates, and what you describe is how we did it in Iran in 1953 or in Chile, or Honduras, or any of the many other locations where we have overthrown legitimate governments over the years.

Though it doesn’t belong to America, it doesn’t belong to Venezuela either; it belongs to any creative capitalist that can get it out of ground and bring to market.

Hopefully someone will heroically moral enough to put a bullet through Maduro’s skull, and then hang him upside down like the Italians did Mussolini.

BTW: Does Putin pay you by the word or the post? I ask because you do a lot of blathering, and I’m worried Putin might be shorting you.

Well, Hitler did gain power through the democratic process, and he did have public support through much of his human butchering adventures, as did Mussolini. And the Soviet Union held elections all the time, as does Iran. But they were and are brutal tyrannies run by ruthless dictators. Elections don’t guarantee heroes, but they has plenty of time given birth and sanction to monsters.

Canada? Probably morality. It’s why they embraced Rahaf Mohamed and told the Suadi’s to fuct off.

It’s biggest mistake was embracing collectivism and altriusm and electing a psychopath to lead them in to a socialist hell.

No, sad to say Dubya, Obama and Trump are still drawing breath. But at least Poppy Bush and John McCain have stopped polluting this world with their bloody wars, wars, wars.

Their biggest mistake was having the largest oil reserves in the world.

    Uncle Sam wants it back.

I will agree with you to some extent morality is an agreement by mutual consent and that we do not live in an age which has an interest in ethics. However your view that it is moral to be involved in a coup against a sovereign nation has not been morality in my life nor is it what the UN believes - but I do accept that you may not agree with International Law and the UN.

Former U.N. Expert: The U.S. Is Violating International Law by Attempting a Coup in Venezuela

I have left the link to that talk earlier. You will find also that the Independent people who were overseeing the election found it 'clean'. I seem to remember one saying about the most fair and free he had seen.

We have different morality. I do not agree with coups against democratically elected leaders and I do not believe in deliberately creating civil wars in countries which result in millions of deaths and look forward to the day those who do receive justice.

Thankfully the grandkids are back from school and needing attention!

It’s this simple: under normal situations, you have no right to break into another’s home, but, if their home is on fire, or they’re being robbed; or they’re murdered, or they’re being raped, or they’re being enslaved, then any one with the means and skill to correct the situation has every right to. Same goes with nations, any free nation has the moral right to invade and set straight any tyranny, be it elected or not.

Nah, it was giving the oil to Chavez instead of a greedy selfish capitalist pig bastard. They learned. They’ll do better next time.
