My apologies, as I was alluding to the oldest parts of the abrahamic religions. It is correct that the koran was written after the bronze age.

But, you are being evasive again. The koran makes no mention of evolution, as the people who wrote it had no clue what evolution was. And to say it has no conflict with evolution requires one to resort to calling its content "metaphor" and "allegory". I would not suggest standing on a street corner in Saudi Arabia and shouting this!

That appears to be confirmed by every possible measure.

What can I say.. You have been reading crap written by people who have never been in KSA either.

Turkey is NOT Saudi Arabia.. Maybe you should start with a map.

The only thing you'll find on a street corner in KSA is a poor woman who has no education and refused to adhere to her husband's demands, begging for money.

    It's a very depressing place

What can you say? You can say anything you want. You can say the sun rises in the west, and you can say down is up.

But you will be wrong if you say those things, just as you will be wrong if you say that evolution can be taught in schools in Saudi Arabia.

    So..."say" away...

Yes, thank you, I am aware. What an odd thing to say to me in response, considering I did not state or imply that turkey was Saudi Arabia.
Naturally, you completely avoided my point, which seems to be what i can i expect from you at all times in this particular discussion.

(Quran 64:3) He designed you then made your design better.
(Quran 40:64) He formed you then made your forms better.

^Human form went through a process of betterment. If this verse wanted to say that humans have a perfect design, it would have not been worded this way, thus, this verse is showing that humans were designed as something and our design (or form) was improved and perfected to Allah's liking.

None of that alludes to evolutionary theory in the slightest way. Before you continue down this silly road, let's make something clear:

Religious myths are the products of people who were quite ignorant of our modern scientific knowledge. That being the case, none of them will ever explicitly state, for example, "not evolution", or "not big bang", or "not pathogens", because the ignorant people who wrote these myths were abjectly ignorant of all of these scientific theories.

As such, it is not coincidence that people will suddenly claim these myths DO refer to our modern, scientific knowledge, but ONLY after we gain this hard earned knowledge by rigorous scientific process....and not ONE second before.

These things, taken together, show quite convincingly that these ignornat kyths in no way refer to our modern scientific knowledge.

No, the koran does not allude to evolution at all. And,to further strengthen this point, many believers of these creation myths will tell you that the koran (for example) specifically contradicts evolution. And there is no way to tell who is correct ajd who is not, further strengthening the idea that there is no real deference or allusion to any scientific fact in thest myths.

If Turkey stopped teaching evolution in August of 2017 that must mean they taught evolution previously..

Muslim scientists and philosophers of the medieval period had no qualms in accepting evolution as a divine system for creation. For instance, the prominent Muslim polymath, philosopher and sociologist Ibni Khaldun (1332-1406), after a paragraph about the origin of human species, reminds the reader with a verse describing the deterministic nature of God’s system: “You will never find a change in God’s system.” In his famous book Muqaddimah, Ibni Khaldun proposes a theory of evolution starting from minerals. Minerals, according to Ibn Khaldun, evolve and become seeded and seedless plants. Plants evolve and reach to their zenith with palm trees and vines. The evolution continues with snails and shelled sea animals. The diversification in animal kingdom reaches the zenith of creation by gradual evolution into human beings with consciousness and thinking skills. According to Ibn Khaldun, monkeys are the link between animals and the first stage of humanity. Ibn Khaldun presents the theory of evolution by using scientific language, arguing that the essence of creation (in modern terminology: genetic code) passes through various changes (mutations) generating one species after another.

In addition to these, Muhammad al-Haytham (965-1039), who is known in the West by the name Alhazen, defends human evolution starting from minerals, plants, and animals in Kitabal Manazer, his book on optical science. Prominent leaders of Sufism such as Ibn Arabi (1165-1240) and Jaluluddin Rumi (1207-1273) also had no problem in accepting the idea of creation through evolution, an idea which was commonly held among Muslims. The Muslim Geologist al-Biruni (973-1048) in his book Kitab al-Jamahir also asserts that humans are created after long periods of evolution from simple organisms through natural selection.

Correct. And it is alarming that what was.once the bastion of moderate Islam (imagine, having to patronize a horrible set of ideas by praising it for its "moderation" for allowing the teaching of scientific facts...how embarrassing) is regressing. That would be a strong indicator of the state of much needed reform of Islam. And it doesn't look good.

I am not going to to respond to this embarrassing nonsense, save for pointing out that not a single one of those people had any idea what evolution was, and by mocking your comments by asking you what they also thought of oncology, and cosmic background radiation, and quantum physics.

No they aren't.. One of the most popular books for Saudi school children is called Forever Friends..

They don't hate Shia either.. For the most part Shia and Sunni coexist rather peacefully.

How long did you say you were in KSA?

Why is your ego all charged up with this? They don't have any conflicts about teaching evolution in Central and South America either.

    "Either"
Which is an inappropriate comment, as they actually do have a problem teaching evolution in nearly every Muslim country, including Saudi Arabia. It seems as though your ego is more worthy of examination as a possible reason why you are behaving irrationally and making false statements.

What schools have you toured in Arabia? How many students have you talked with? How about their parents.. Have you talked with their parents about education or science or marijuana?

Did you do any video interviews for the universities.. Meet with any young journalists?

Did you do any press conferences in Arabia?

Have you seen the geology exhibits at KAUST?

When is the last time you visited the Sun? Would you have to visit the Sun, in order to get accurate reports of its size and temperature? Stop with this evasive nonsense.
