https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/poli...-rolls-back-abortion-restrictions/ar-BB12ufJm Virginias famous "Black face Doctor" has rolled back many restrictions on abortion which in turn, to the glee of many, will allow more death and carnage in the killing fields of the abortion mills. Not enough death for this Governor, with the Corona Virus, I guess. It always amazes me that those who are for murdering the innocent had parents that allowed them to live. I'm with the Black Eye Peas " Where is the Love". If I was a minority or poor I would be vary wary of people that present "genocide" as a choice of their infant.
Be real, dude. People with money have always gotten abortions as well - they just go to private doctors and clinics that don't have to report their abortion numbers to the government. And as a country, we have already tried anti-abortion bills. For nearly a hundred years, we had prohibitions against abortion - the more well to do just took "vacations" and the poor turned to unlicensed providers. The laws didn't work. What does work is education and free condoms and birth control.
Well said... As I proud Virginian, I completely support Governor Ralph in this initiative, plus the meager start at preventing gun violence he signed on Friday. I don't see how any of the items listed in the OP will lead to an increase in abortions in the state, but it if does, so be it... Abortions suck but I'll always support a woman's right to choose that terrible option.
Hmmm... Virginians vote Dems in office and more liberal policies are enacted..... Go figure... Even in this sad topic, Republicans have the ability to make me laugh SNIP Republicans have come out in force against the legislation since it was debated in the legislature, accusing Democrats of curtailing women's options ENDSNIP Finally, BY RULE, threads in Current Events must have the title match the OP article, which is - Virginia governor rolls back abortion restrictions
You could look at it that way. Or you could see that women in Virginia are being given respect and the ability to control their own bodies. I think it's rather sad that, in 2020, this could even be discussed, but I'm glad that Virginia is doing the right thing.
You could look at it that way, or you could see that The "Right thing" would be to take responsibility and not get pregnant in the first place if not intended and 'choice" is available. "Pro-Choice" ........................for responsible people means the CHOICE NOT TO GET PREGNANT.
And how do you suggest they do that? (Little side bet here for those interested - 5 gets you 10 the answer will involve either abstinence or condoms )
Unless you are going to pay for the woman's time lost at work, birth and care of the zygote then maybe stop trying to force your will onto others? I have never understood the mantra of lets force this woman to carry this child that she doesn't want for nine months, potentially pushing her into poverty so that she can be forced to have medical debt she cannot pay resulting in a child that will likely be abandoned. It’s mind boggling.
Condoms fail, birth control fails, accidents happen, rape happens. The world isn’t as black and white as the fascist regressive party views it.
If your own pleasure and hedonism were not your first priorities, you wouldn't even ask such a question. If only we could take you back to the moment of your own conception, and get your vote on abortion at that point. The Canary would be singing an entirely different song.
I hear organ harvesting that planned parenthood engages in is quite profitable. The Chinese Democrats would be proud of their American counterparts.
Why is there so much rape today? Perhaps if we didn't have the demand for open borders and criminal leniency (all Championed by the irresponsible party) then rape wouldn't be the ever increasing problem it is today. In the case of "birth control failure", that would pretty much rule out the irresponsible part now wouldn't it? The world isn't all about your personal pleasure and hedonism as the fascist murdering party views it.
The regulations made as much sense as requiring a penis measurement from a licensed practitioner to purchase a firearm. An example of the hypocritical regulatory overreach we’ve come to expect from Republican legislators. Good for Northam.
You dodged the question and it is a very important question Because the one and only successful method of reducing abortion is to make LARCS cheap and easily available So what was your strategy?
Exactly. Plus threads regarding Abortion have their own section: http://www.politicalforum.com/index.php?forums/abortion.39/
An example of the hypocritical regulatory overreach we’ve come to expect from Republican legislators. Could not agree more !!!!!
Have you? If your strategy is to wander off into saying asinine things like this, then you aren't worthy of further discussion.
Despite the allegations of the rabid left, many of us who see "Pro-Choice" as the choice to not get pregnant, aren't the fascists those embracing recreational abortion make us out to be. If someone used birth control in earnest and it failed and pregnancy resulted, then that (to me) is a different case. Same with rape and forced pregnancy. Those are not choices the woman made. Irresponsibility was not a factor. Still, in ANY case, abortion must be performed within the first trimester. Otherwise it's inhumane. I'm solely referring to those who recklessly get pregnant while having fun. Which accounts for most of the abortions. Many democrats also push for "Any term" abortion. In fact some have even openly declared that ending a newborns life after delivery should still be the woman's "choice". Andrew Cuomo for example. That should be considered murder unless of severe extenuating circumstances. My "Strategy" would be the elimination of democrat policies that have resulted in a society where hedonism and irresponsibility are worshiped. That's my strategy.
