They would have remained essentially "non existent", except that Leftist mayor of Charlottesville and Leftist Socialist Democrat Governor of Virginia saw the opportunity to exploit the lawfully allowed peaceful march to the Robert E.Lee statue for political gain, which resulted in allowing a TRULY radical violent element, the Antifa, funded by Globalist George Soros, to incite a riot.

That in turn provoked this Alt Right element to go radical and unwisely and regretfully demonstrated their stupidity, decided on a midnight torch lit march thru the University of Virginia.

The whole thing could have been easily avoided, by just letting the original VERY SMALL element of Alt Right have their "free speech" in the park to protest the removal of the Robert E. Lee statue, then would have left without incident, to return to where ever they all traveled from, returning to their dull lives and dull jobs.

 

There are certainly those who prefer not to acknowledge their existence, especially fellow travelers in Trump veneration who find their proximity discomforting. White supremacists, including neo-nazi and ku klux klan, have an agenda that they view their "Glorious Leader!" as furthering.

It should bother their less ostentatious brethren who are desperate to hide them from public view.
