    And from a national security standpoint, does that fact absolve trump from wrongdoing this time when he - allegedly - placed a hold on that lethal aide because of personal political decisions?

    Is there any evidence to suggest that he was giving his honest opinion? I can think of several reasons why he would want to give the answer least likely to piss off those in charge of providing aide to his country.

    No it doesn't but it does put into context that the people saying National Security were ok with sending blankets and MREs during/ shortly after a Russian invasion.
