I never said or implied otherwise. That strawman fallacy was simply your disingenuous attempt to change the subject.

To be frank, don't confuse people with facts. ;-) They don't like it.

No, you asked me why I considered you more reasonable than other posters here. Defend yourself and your property yes, answer a knock at the door with a gun in your hand, no. He shouldn't be blamed because he could just as easily been right, had the contact officer's footage showed the gunman bringing the gun around towards him we would be hailing this guy as a quick thinking hero.

Not at all, now just say the words for me, say rioting, burning and looting is wrong, no matter who you are?

Those cases are rubbish, in every one there is an aggravating factor, they were dealing, in possession of an illegal gun etc. I love the term sociodemographic characteristics? Does that actually mean African American? So because some people are more likely to use crack cocaine they were inclined to be violent anyway?

Well you tried banning alcohol before and it didn't work, did it?

We both know that criminals or would-be-criminals use all kinds of ruses to get people to open their doors. How would the man know who was really at his door?

The man is clearly putting up his left hand and lowering his weapon slowly. How could he have capitulated any better?

    They prove you wrong.
I.e., helping others pursue their happiness.

    GET IT???
No, the fact that a certain demographic is both more likely to commit violent crimes and more likely to use crack does not imply that using crack makes them more violent.

That's called, "logic." You could look it up.
And you actually say that with a straight face. Remarkable.

Rioting, burning and looting is wrong unless you are, e.g., resisting foreign military occupation or a repressive domestic dictatorship. I wouldn't condemn North Koreans for rioting, burning and looting government offices or secret police installations.

And I would agree. Let me qualify my statement, in America.

True but what grounds did he have to believe these were criminals? It's still crazy to answer the door gun in hand. He is clearly putting up his left hand up and bringing the gun around his side, the contact officer can see he intends to put it down but the cover officer can't. He could have dropped the gun, squatted and placed it on the ground etc he just chose the worst possible way.

They do not, every one has an aggravating factor, they prove me right. Get it, Luther Billis? Yes, that certain demographic is African Americans. Of course I keep a straight face, I using logic, you should look it up

Calling more of the same non-crime an "aggravating factor" does not alter the facts, sorry.
I had to look that up, and have no idea what you incorrectly imagine you think you mean by it.
And correlation is not causation for them, either. Jewish males are circumcised, and have higher average education than non-Jewish males. That doesn't mean circumcision makes you a better student.

    GET IT???
BWAHAHHAAAA!!! I have passed senior-level courses in logic at an internationally respected university. You have not. In fact, you have never had a logic course of any description, nor even held a logic textbook in your hands. That is self-evident.

I don't know how many criminals you've met in life, but they generally don't announce themselves. The man had NO idea who was on the other side of his door.

Everyone who has taken even a basic course in the use of firearms KNOWS that you CANNOT drop them on the floor or ground due to the risk of accidental discharge.

The officer was in the wrong and I hope justice prevails for his family.

Yes it does, get it? Wash that man right out of your hair! Jewish people grow up in a culture which values education and self improvement, African Americans grow up in a culture which doesn't to say the least.

Well listen Spock, if you're so versed in logic, we've yet to hear any from you.

These officers DID announce themselves. Better to risk an ND than bring the pistol around towards the contact officer. The officer acted correctly and I hope he's not persecuted and hung out to dry to appease misinformed public opinion.

I've already stated more than once that criminals use all kinds of tactics to get people to open their doors. You certainly have to know that if you are in law enforcement.

Hopefully, people that think LEOs should be excused for ANY shooting aren't going to review this case. It's a sad state of affairs when murder is acceptable just because the murderer is wearing a badge.

No one is saying murder is acceptable as I've illustrated, you yourself admit the officer acted genuinely in the belief he was saving his colleague, the issue is were his actions reasonable in the circumstances.

That's the discrepancy here. He did NOT act reasonably in that situation. I've already posted, multiple times now, that he could have given a warning, used a taser, used a club or even hand-to-hand combat. Going from 0-to-killing someone is NOT reasonable in this case. Yes, I "get" that he had to make a split second decision but that does NOT negate that he panicked and killed somebody.

For an knife or any other weapon I would agree with you but lead gets lead, the quick and the dead.

Had he (the LEO) tried any other method he would have known the man was not posing a threat to anybody. He was placing his gun on the floor slowly.

A man died. Why doesn't that matter to you?

He had no time. It does matter to me but you cannot blame this officer for this confluence of circumstances,

Who else should be blamed when a man is shot dead in his own home for no reason? All the blame rests on the shooter (LEO).

You know it wasn't for no reason, no one expected the suspect to answer the door gun in hand and put it down in the manner which suggested he was about to shoot the contact officer.

Why do you not acknowledge the man was trying to put the weapon down? He wasn't trying to shoot anybody and he wasn't posing a threat. There was NO REASON for the LEO to use deadly force in this situation.

Forty-eight pages in and you are the only person holding steadfast to an outright fabrication of events. I'm not saying you should follow the crowd (be yourself) but you are wrong in this case.
